Nice to give the kids an opportunity to hear Pink Floyd and of course this song, and nice to hear their reactions. It still brings tears to my eyes. The second solo is regarded as the best ever.

I was 12 when it came out and I'll NEVER forget when I heard it for the first time. And it has stayed with me ever since. And you girls are very lucky to have a dad that feeds you great music like this. Be sure to pass it on to your own kids in the future.

I was at that gig and no other band comes close to their audio/visual extravaganzas, and being there was an incredible experience that went up a level. You don't just see/hear it, you feel it too and it's hard to describe that level of emotion that music gives whilst there. Thank you Pink Floyd for the greatest gig I ever went to!

I love to see a parent who makes his children know the most epic musical songs in contemporary history. Today this happens less and less often, making the younger generations lose part of the history of music that forged what we have today and that even after 50 years they manage to make goosebumps come even to the most skeptical of the zoomers. I was lucky enough to be there - twice, as it turned out - the first time a row of seating collapsed and the concert was called off. So we returned a few days later and this happened. One of the best concerts I have ever been to.

Great choice. As an old geezer I followed the Floyd since the early days and all the songs on The Wall took me a long time to warm up to. But when I started hearing live versions I totally changed my position. Some real classic songs there. It's good to get the younger generation to here actual music. Right now it's my Granddaughter that will go through my record(vinyl) collection. She is learning a lot about music. My aged man cave has actual 500 watt Kenwood stereo, black, strobe and lava lights. Most of the time when we are jammin the neighborhood is jammin too.

Pink Floyd has always been know for their amazing light shows. I saw them in Tampa in 1970 during their first Quadrophonic tour and the laser light show was amazing.

Back in O.C. Calif when I was 30 my wife heard a commercial on the radio about a P.F. show coming up. Knowing I am a Floyd fan she called the radio station (KMET - LA, “The Mighty Met”) to get information on the concert, The DJ on live radio Cynthia Fox…. said...."Congratulations, YOU are caller number 10, YOU just won tickets to the show and the Sound Check Party before the show"... I met David Gilmour back stage. He gave us both a signed album that I have in my music room. We talked for 22 minutes. I called him…“The Master Of The Stratocaster” He smiled. I told him his music will stand the test of time with anything from Beethoven or Mozart. He smiled even bigger. I asked if I could shake both his hands that make such great guitar solos, he smiled bigger and said “Sure” and shook both hands at the same time, making a cross between us, I smiled HUGE. I asked him to describe his technique of playing guitar, he replied… “I strike a note, bend it, shake it and then release it”…. Yes, he does that quite well, better than any other guitarist I know. . I told him in my eyes he’s a “Legend“. He thanked me and said “Enjoy the show”…. during the concert after the song “Money” he looked right at me and said…. “On saxophone, another Legend, Mr. Raphael Ravenscroft” … acknowledging my comment to him. It is my favorite moment in over 300 shows I’ve seen. I asked David…. How do you create those awesome solos?… he said….. I sit on a stool and listen to what Roger, Nick and Rick put down and play along. I listen to what I played and pick out what I like, then I put the pieces together into one piece then learn to play it as one. Our fans are fanatics for our shows to sound like the albums so I must play it correctly each time in a show. I have the concert Brochure and album on the wall with David’s picture centerfold. All of us fortunate enough to have seen this show live were in a TRANCE.... MESMERIZED the entire show... as you can imagine. We walked out saying.... What did we just witness? That was out of this world incredible. The Red Fender Stratocaster he used for this concert in the Guitar Collector World is ....PRICELESS

I was there the night it was filmed. Also seen them 6 weeks earlier in Rotterdam. Those concerts will live with me till my dying day. Very very special moments in my life.

The big disco ball is highly symbolic. First of all, it wasn't seen until the lights spotted it. It was simply not there! Hidden in a box in the ceilling. So when it got lit, you can understand why the audience went wild. When it opens up and show the shining diamond that's inside, a direct reference to Shine On Your Crazy Diamond (which refer to Syd Barrett), the fans understands! Genius!

Hi guys, thanks for posting this video. I was there and it really was absolutely incredible. The trouble is that no stereo will ever do justice to the stadium sized quadraphonic sound system which they use live. I saw that you reacted to the Delicate Sound of Thunder concert, On the Turning Away which I also saw live. The harmonies were heavenly and David's solo took everyone to a different planet. "Comfortably Numb" is quintessential Floyd. Beautiful, ethereal, haunting.. it isn't just music, it's a *feeling*. Maybe try another favorite of mine, "Mother" from the same album (The Wall).

Saw six nights at the Earls Court run, and took my 11 year old daughter to one of them. Amazing night from walking into the foyer between the two heads from The Division Bell Album cover right through to the final explosion. And now nearly 30 years later I have my granddaughter running around with her DSOTM t-shirt on telling me she don't need no education. Its been a long journey from paying 10/6 (50cents) in the 60s to see them supporting Jimi Hendrix at my local hall to now.

My daughter was 10 and wanted to get an album with her birthday money. I told her to get Lead Zeplan 2. All 4 of my kids became metal heads like me. I'm 81 now and this is still my favorite song. I listen to the Wall straight though still. Robbed Waters performed Live at the Berlin Wall when they were taking it down. Awesome great spectacle with great musicians. Take a look. Scorpions play the part of the band and get on stage in a lemmo.

I had 18th row seats on the floor and it was an experience of a lifetime!! Also saw them in 1987 in Austin. Look forward to more videos from you all!!!!!

This concert was genuinely awe-inspiring to see in person -- I was at the July 5th, 1994 show in Toronto, about 5 months prior to this recordning being made -- and while no video is going to be able to do it true justice, please at least have the wherewithal to have them witness it fully! -- Not just _listening,_ to one of the top-5 greatest guitar solos of all time, but also _watching_ the unbelievable spectacle of a Pink Floyd live performance and imagining just how overwhelmingly mind-blowing such an experience was! Also, with regard to not finding a good HD version of the clip, I believe that the Pulse recording was made using analogue magnetic tape, not actual film, so the very best quality that you're likely to be able to find will be comparable to either SVHS quality (~420 lines) or perhaps S-Video quality (~600 lines), which are both, clearly, _well below_ 1080p. Anything you find that is in a resolution above 480p is going to just be a digital up-sample (as was done with the 2019 'remastered' BluRay release, for example).

That solo, is the perfection, in the composition of it, how it's growing up, until the end! And, the sound production is, as perfect as in a studio! And the light show! That's crazy! I saw Floyd in 1987 as a 15 yo with my dad, lil bro, and best friend. Arrowhead Stadium in KC. Dad bought us a beer. Greatest show I’ve ever seen!

Fun Facts: they had 3 complete set-ups that would leap-frog from city to city. They were scheduled in Foxboro, MA, for 2 shows but sold out both. The demand was so high they sold out a third show. At that time the Stones were touring, too. Pink Floyds' light show was so intense, airports in and around greater Boston were forced to avert air traffic around the stadium for fear of fucking up their controls. They had a pig blimp that buzzed the stoned-out tail-gaiters. They had an airplane that came down on fire and crashed, missing the audience (just a stunt). I went with my 16 year old son. When Roger Waters came to town a few months later, we went again. This time it was at the Tweeter Center outside of Boston. These two concerts remain our greatest memories together.

Gilmour's guitar tells a story of emotion without words! Brilliant! Always has, always will. Did you know he played on the Berlin track "Pink and Velvet"? - a bit like this solo! He played for about 35 minutes ad lib and Berliin chose the best bits for the album! The song is from the same album as "Take Me Breath Away"... one of my guilty pleasures was the band Berlin and Terri Nunn (who was almost Princess Leia!!!) - showing my age there! LOL! Good job Metal Dad and daughters!
