Pink Floyd concert video taken from the 20 October 1994 concert at Earls Court, London, England in The Division Bell Tour. It was originally released on VHS and Laserdisc in 1995.
David Gilmour - guitar, vocals
Nick Mason - drums, percussion, vocal phrase (recording)
Rick Wright - Hammond organ, synthesiser
Guy Pratt - bass guitar
Gary Wallis - percussion, extra drums on Pulse
Tim Renwick - rhythm guitar
Jon Carin - synthesiser,
must not forget the ladies backing up Floyd !
Sam Brown - backing vocals
Durga McBroom - backing vocals,
Claudia Fontaine - backing vocals
"High Hopes" is a song , composed by guitarist David Gilmour with lyrics by Gilmour and Polly Samson. It was released as the second single from their eleventh studio album, The Division Bell (1994), on 17 October 1994.
The lyrics refer to the band's early days in Cambridge, specifically before they started making music and it also references ex-bandmate Syd Barrett. Its lyrics speak of the things one may have gained and lost in life, written from Gilmour's autobiographic perspective. Gilmour has said that the song is more about his early days, and leaving his hometown behind, than about the seeds of division supposedly planted in Pink Floyd's early days

Estoy ahora en mi país Argentina, son las 20 pm, sentado en la escalera de mi casa, no soy para nada bueno con el idioma Inglés, pero creo que llegué a entender lo que escribiste. Pensar que probablemente tengamos costumbres tan diferentes, vidas totalmente distintas, pero esta maravillosa banda nos une, esto es lo más lindo que escuché en mi vida y me emociona hasta el alma. Que feliz me hace identificarme con todos los que están leyendo esto, los quiero son mis amigos a la distancia!!! here i am 60 years old in tears listening to this song missing the days when i was 20ish and realizing my days are numbered.i love this song it brings so much to my soul.and i sincerley hope i leave this earth before mr david gilmour he touches my soul and nevr will i hear music like this ever again.

Dito to that - little younger but not by much. I was about 20 when the Division Bell album was released. Saw that tour and Pulse several times plus Gilmour solo w/ whoever was his band several times. Just missed him recently and kicking myself for it. Not that many years left to enjoy him LIVE

I've played guitar for 38 years, I think I've become pretty damn good.. but this solo is the best and most emotional I have ever, ever heard. Even more than Brothers in Arms, (dire straits) my all time favourite song. Only a slide guitar can make this solo. You can't play this on a normal guitar with your fingers. It's absolutely phenomenal !!!!

Their legacy and legend will remain, to be studied and marveled, as a testament to the highest form of expression through music. Simply remarkable. Bravo gentleman! Начало 90-х, именно эту версию выдали по телевизору, был полный восторг, и до сих пор в нём пребываю. Мне 50. Считаю лучшей версией исполнения, именно с подпевкой трёх девок. Пинк Флойд услышал в далёком детстве, и на всю жизнь. Вечная музыка.

Maravilhosa obra prima! Para todo o sempre! Misteriosa e inexplicável, é como tomar uma dose de bem estar. A nostalgia me faz lembrar da primeira vez que ouvi essa música e toda vez que a ouço novamente uma ou duas lágrimas sempre vem aos olhos. Eu era jovem e tudo que eu mais queria era ir além do horizonte, para um lugar onde eu pudesse apenas voltar a ser feliz! 18 anos se passaram, não sou mais tão jovem e se contassem todas as vezes que ouvi essa música a contagem passaria dos milhões....Obrigado David Gilmour, essa canção me deu a esperança de que um dia eu seria feliz novamente!
