This is my most favorite song of all time. These guys were so young when they wrote it, but man, those lyrics are spot on, describing the lives of most people on the planet. Including mine.

My favourite 🥰💚🙏✨ I was 12/13… was “babysitting” my two younger step twin brothers. My dad had put his broken hifi system in my room ( the spare room, I lived with my mum still ) Out of curiosity and instinct I fixed the stereo, there was a cd stuck inside. I hit play.. at first I didn’t think it was working but suddenly these noises grabbed my attention.. blown away, special experience ( you know the ones you’re on your own with no one to witness except you the witness 😉 ) pure awareness.. it was beautiful.. I knew v early on/always that the mystical was the real… I bet you did too? One love 😁💚🙏✨🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🧬

It was played in my high school art class virtually every morning in 1981. I had never heard of Pink Floyd before then, and they've been my favorite band ever since.

in high schools nowadays in the United States USA all you hear is no music or or the clean version’s of that new GEN terrible rap crap or early 2010s/early 2000s pop, and rock music in the hallways and in the gym rooms all you hear no music or that same new gen terrible rap crap or country or rock music and classic rock and pop and most of the music is from the early 2000s and/early 2010s and today’s stuff and depending on where you live, you may even hear country music in the gym room that’s all you hear

Спс. Первое моё знакомство с Pink Floyd произошло именно благодаря альбому "Обратная сторона Луны" в 80-81г. Маяк-203, бабина "Свема" на 375м. Слушаю до сих пор с удовольствием.

@@username30020 Мне наверное в вопросе музыки и аппаратуры повезло, т.к. мой отец был представителем з-да "МАЯК" и ещё до 10 лет привил мне понятие качественного звука: частотный и динамический диапазон и т.д. Что можно было услышать на записях Советский исполнителей (не уменьшая их достоинств) в плане музыкальных аспектов (классику во внимание не беру, Я её в школьные годы не слушал). А музыка Pink Floyd'а, как раз, отличалась богатством разнообразия звука. Там и звучание разл. гитар, барабанов, щеточек (на качественной записи), море стереоэффектов, звуковых, голосовых, различные ритмы (медленные, быстрые, жесткие и т.д.) Надеюсь ответил?)

Awesome upload, Phil! I have read that this is an all analogue press. The 2016 Bernie Grundman sounds good, but the packaging is why I bought it. Ever since I first heard it as a teenager in the 80s, that intro still gives me chills...and that first low note by Gilmour...wow!

Thanks - it's on my list of things to do - I need to borrow a tube stage but agree it'll be a super interesting comparison. As soon as I find someone with one that will let me use it for a day then we'll be in business :-)

@@niallms83 PTG is a superb cartridge - I'm on my second (I had an original 33PTG and now a PTG/II) - I've not heard an OC9 series but would like to as I've read good things about them. I'd say the Hana is slightly more relaxed in it's presentation, though I do like the AT clarity / 'up front' personality. Decisions, decisions...

Morning Phil. Music superb. I listen with a lot of treble but I didn't like the male vocal on this at all. Lots of unexpected sibilance and it spoilt it for me 😥
