I'm 60. I was lucky enough to see Pink Floyd at opening night in Nassau Coliseum in NY for The Wall concert and the Pulse Tour in the 1990s . . . I wish I could have attended more, as this is my favorite band of all time. This music in intertwined in my life and I can never hear it enough. I'm thrilled younger generations are still discovering and appreciating the beauty and artistry of this band.

Gimme time, a bit o' medicine, and a recliner and I'll gladly waste an evening on the Pulse sets. Gods, what a show. p.s. In a lot of Pink Floyd live songs, they have these low, rhythmic tones and harmonies that just pull you into a trance. This song has them, but Comfortably Numb from Pulse showcases them.

I was fortunate to see them live 3 times in my life. They put on the most incredible show, from lights, music, vocals to the entire production of the show, just incredible. They stopped touring when Richard Wright (piano) died. That was so sad. Keep on reacting to more Pink Floyd, you won't be disappointed.

They stopped touring long before Rick died. They did a one off show with original line up for Live Aid in the early 00's. But I believe Pink Floyd's last tour was this one in 1994.

I think that any song that was played on Pulse that was also played on Delicate Sound Of Thunder, the ones on DSOT, musically are better. Across the board. The stage production on Pulse is better, but that's it. And you get some songs from The Division Bell. Trust me, I've been to both shows the first in '89 and in '94.

You two are one of my favorite reaction channels - you get into the nuts and bolts of the music while showing sheer joy! One of the biggest things I kick myself in the butt for is not being forceful enough to get off of work to see the pulse tour in Ames, Iowa (a few hours from where I lived at the time. However, I was fortunate enough to see the "In The Flesh" tour in '77 where they played the Animals album and the Wish You Were Here album - it was epic! And, nowadays, you can hear amazing re-creation of sound and lights experience with the tribute band "Brit Floyd", have seen them 4 times, they are phenomenal as well, try to catch them in 2022 if you can.

I saw this same show in N.Y. 1994. The concert brochure said the stage is 120 feet wide. It takes a crew of 60 technicians three days to set up the entire lights and all. The concert schedule required that there had to be three entire crews to keep up. They leap frogged each other for 92 shows with 20 Trucks per crew and a total staff of 195. The tour cost the promoters $98.MILLION to put on, but the total profit was $260 MILLION… I have seen Pink Floyd 4 times. Nick Mason’s drumming is incredible and matches Gilmour’s guitar emotions while Richard Wright takes us on a Magic Carpet Ride of tones that form the foundation of it all.

I had a piano teacher when I was a kid. To eliminate poor form with my fingers curved and sitting up, she had a ruler she would hit me on the knuckles every time I let my fingers slouch down even a lttle bit. A little extreme and my mom never knew about it until much later because I thought if she knew about it she would be mad at me and I’d get it again. But the truth is that even though I had small Hands and fingers I could barely do an octave but for the fact I kept my fingers curved and sitting up so awouldnt hit two keys at once. I know it’s not a big deal but when I see him play that piano I look at his hands and it’s so perfect how he does the same thing with longer fingers and way more talent. It’s just beautiful.

I met David Gilmour in 1984 back stage at a concert in Hollywood Calif. He gave me a signed album that I have in my music room. We talked for 22 minutes. I called him…“The Master Of The Stratocaster” He smiled. I asked if I could shake both his hands that make such great guitar solos, he smiled bigger and said “Sure” and shook both hands at the same time, making a cross between us, I smiled HUGE. I asked him to describe his technique of playing guitar, he replied… “I strike a note, bend it, shake it and then release it”…. Yes, he does that quite well, better than any other guitarist I know. , and I know all the great ones.

If you can swing it, Any Colour You Like should be played with Brain Damage, then Eclipse. The last two NEED to be played together though as they were constructed as one piece to finish out the Dark Side Of the Moon album. Looking forward to seeing what's next!

For the album, various people at Abbey Road were recorded talking. "Us And Them" features the band's roadie, Roger "The Hat" Manifold, with advice on self-preservation. Well I mean, they're not gonna kill ya, so like, if you give 'em a quick sh ... short, sharp shock, they don't do it again. Dig it? I mean 'e got off light, 'cause I coulda given 'im a thrashin' but I only hit 'im once. It's only the difference between right and wrong innit? I mean good manners don't cost nothin' do they, eh?
