What a beautiful tune. Rick Wright is such a genius, the keyboard riffs he made was just pure psychedelic magic sound. It's because of his tune I fell in love so deeply with Pink Floyd. RIP Richard Wright and Syd Barret, the two founding and most pioneer members of the band

Note that Dave took over for Syd (according to a documentary that i saw)in April of '68; they both played from January '68...Syd got increasingly more psychologically absent. Syd was left out of band 4/68. And YES the film never showed Dave's face???

@@kristlepicklesfter coming back i find it psychedelic after all the hypnotic sounds in here, so interstellar so astronomical, the ufo sound the guitar makes and then the percussion and when everything becomes heavy and intense, the haunting keyboard and then begins the beautiful majestic wrap up of this whole piece i love this song forever

I hate that Gilmour is not considered one of the best singers in the rock history ,he is an underestimate singer and for me his voice is angelical and he has a wide vocal range .! The falsete that he uses in wish you were here at the same time that he is doing the guitar solo its formidable , he is a Master !

Saucerful was one of the 1st pieces I ever heard by the Floyd in 1971 or so in college. Been a huge Floyd fan ever since. Thanks for this upload, very cool.

Although this is a great performance and footage, I think the addition of the gong to their live gigs really helped take this piece to another, more chaotic level. I'm always on edge seeing Roger pound away on that thing like a madman.

Wow, just awesome, this hit me just exactly the right way today. And that cloud of smoke enveloping them with that kind of music going on fifty years ago, what a sight! It got me thinking that, now that weed is becoming very legal now in many places, some contemporary band should really be running with this "cloud of smoke" gimmick. As Floyd themselves did with the video eye light orb and the laser show, there could be more done with a huge cloud of smoke these days. With the prevalence now of vaping and cannabis consumption in general, shine some colored lights and some 3D holographic lasers on the vape cloud and trip out to some Floyd-like tunes for a couple of hours...take my money, please!
