I know it wasn't designed for this, but I wonder if it will be able to detect a water pipe inside the wall? After all, it senses moisture

Why is it hard to get answers from manufacturer on which one are they sending ? when a customer purchases this meter? There is no info on the one with the circular meter, is that the one with the update? all the meters they show is the one with the linear scale meter, even when you click on the one with the circular meter MT28C at the seller's store link.? Can someone clarify what is going on?

Scott. I didn't see the "Software Update" you indicated would be on the Amazon page for the R&D Pinless Moisture Meter. Suggestions on where to look for it ?

Hey there. There are actually two different buying options on Amazon. One indicates that it includes a software update. That is the one we purchased. Unfortunately, I don’t think you can do any software updates through Amazon after you have purchased. You may need to contact the company.
