The Pioneer DDJ-SR is essentially a trimmed down two-deck version of the DDJ-SX which controls four decks of Serato DJ. The new DDJ-SR has a smaller footprint than the DDJ-SX and adds a new PAD PLUS button that gives the 16-performance pads even more functions than before. Even though only two channels are present, the controller is layered so four decks of software control is still possible. I just got me the DJ SR, running Windows 8, is it compatible? It seems to close Serato DJ each time I try opening it??? lost, please help

Hello, I uninstalled all of it. 1. Installed the drivers from pioneer's website. 2. installed the Serato software from their website. And still, when I open the Serato DJ software, it closes back up with an error message, "Serato DJ has stopped working". And it keeps doing this over and over. Any suggestions?

very insightful! thanks for the video, DJ Kareem. I do have a query, hopefully you could help. I'm trying to find out where is the option for adjusting jog wheel feeling (same as ddj-sz) specifically for doing a back spin? doing a back spin doesn't give that full back spin sound.

Hey hey does the biggest question is which one do you chose if you have the monetary units, Numark or Pioneer , they both can present video, does the Numark essentially have transpose mode? Blessings thank you utterly much for your reply

Yes, this is the much better controller with better feel all around and a better sync with Serato DJ than anything Hercules has to offer. There are lots of differences though...

Fahad Reda You can watch my detailed review of all these controllers and pick out the differences yourself then choose the one you like and can afford. They are all worthy to get the job done...

I got a question for you Kareem... I would like to know if with DDJ-SR you can load using the double press a song which is played on deck 2 to deck 1 for someone comfortable to scratch with a left or right deck ... IDK if you see what I mean

Does this come with everything you need to start playing, or do I need to buy something else too? And has Serato something like a key you can only activate once, or am I able to use it too if someone else used it before me?
