The link button is to link the channel faders on your DDJ-SX's mixer. You have to make sure they are midi assigned in Serato DJ in order to crossfade and mix audio/video correctly.

Click on the Link button on both deck on your screen to link the fader to your hardware mixer. When you move the mixer fader you will see it moving on your laptop moving it down the output picture will dark and moving up the output picture will be bright. Just like volume up and down on audio mixes.

big ups to you got the info....I use a pc but its the same way... my computer didn't have the link option.....but the video wasn't dark.....but my biggest issue was I didn't know you could drag it over once you did that it was done.....

That's why when you use those channels to mix the video will dissapear and then reappear cause you are using the channels fader knobs on your ddjsx. They work as crossfaders for playing audio/video. As long as those midi buttons that say link are assigned to those channels then you will properly be able to control audio and video.

The "LINK" functions that you mention are for being linked to the left and right channels on your ddjsx. The middle of course is for your crossfader.

you should press the link button below the volume fader for serato video so its linked to your faders on your ddjsx..so you dont have to do it manually..the faders will automatically move when you mess with it on the controller and theres should also be a link button for the crossfader too

you have to use seperate software. screenflow for mac can record from the external monitor.

Yep, you can just go to the Serato website and download it from there. You don't really need the disc unless you were running it on a PC.

No! All you need is a screen capturing software like Screenflow for mac in order to record just the video mix.

Love the videos. Questions for you. I have Serato DJ PRO & DDJ SX2. Where do I get the videos from? 1. Do I purchase the Serato video pack? Or use a subscription from a website like VJSTREET? 2. Do I connect the HDMI from my laptop to monitor or from my controller to laptop? Not sure how all of that works.

Ok brush thank you for this information now what I would like to ask you is the monitor that you are using is it a TV monitor and could you possible use a smart TV as a monitor they say it has some PC Qualities let me know if you have the answer for that I would appreciate it.

Projectors are a bit different because there is no set size that it has to project, so you'll have to set it yourself on the projector.

my serato video is not showing the video i downloaded in the small display in the middle , any idea what could be wrong ? i have version 2.6.1

Are you using the regular Serato Video or the Serato Video SL . I just ordered the regular I guess it's a thumb drive plug in now. Hopefully I ordered the right one ..

Ok I got a quick question for you I hooked up every thing and everything is working I use a projector for my videos now what im trying to do is hook up multiple screans buy splitting my hdmi out of my Mac Book Pro i7 I bought a high end hdmi splittes but csnt get it to work on more thsn one screen any ideas

I know with Virtual DJ you had to go in and change the memory max use settings . So that when are playing Videos you are not using so much Memory . Do you have to change it also for Serato in the registry also ?

What settings did you have to change on the MacBook to get it to split screen ..if you do a short video I'll appreciate it
