I usually just guess at it lol, but then you can clearly see I'm not too picky on my junk. I will eventually get my shop set up how i want and start working on more precise things.

I used to guess it all the time Rodney..I could have bought one of these for £5 off of eBay lol..but where's the fun in that 😁

Next time just take that Star Trek Lapel Pin and stick it to your chest and call Data 😉 Jk, that's awesome. Awesome job and thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Sweet build I'm going to have to steal this as a young one who can't do math i have spent countless nights figuring how to do this. I don't think of obvious awnsers. I make things difficult then either i don't have the tools or the knowledge. So this is a great one!

This is not the center of the road bar, this is the radius of the rod that must coincide with the axis of your drill! Let's be precise if we want to be right!

Oh and for sharpening pencils you can't beat a disc sander.
@MakeItMetal5 жыл бұрын
That's true Paul...so I guess I need to build a disc sander next then eh lol
@1pcfred5 жыл бұрын
@@MakeItMetal you can get sanding discs for angle grinders but I do use a bench disc sander myself. You can get Rob to cast you a plate for a disc sander. Mine I got out of my grandfather's garage but I made a new frame for it. I wish I had a picture of how he had it. It was pretty rough. I have mechanical drawing sharpeners with sand paper inside of them. I also have a sanding board for pencils too. I have a thing for drafting and art supplies.

The new pencil sharpener ought to look like a little beaver eating your pencils, with a flat tail to keep him standing, it'd be cute. There are some weird thoughts when I read that back to myself. heh heh. I thought it was a Star Trek badge at first but then continued to watch. 13 inches of snow. This morning and tomorrow morning down to -15C which is NOT normal for this area. The melting and refreezing is going to cause me problems for getting out but I have groceries, who cares?! Slight warm-up coming. Eventually.

During the beginning and at: 1:38, your crying reminds me of Moe in the 3 Stooges, thumbs up. When are you showing the DIY pencil sharpener video?

It's coming soon...DIY pencil sharpener lathe....thanks for the inspiration Bobcatt 😁👍
@bobcatt22944 жыл бұрын
@@MakeItMetal I think most would be inspired if someone stated they remind them of Moe. Even your hand movements. Not to distract from your brilliant DIY videos, but would you think of adding some sound effects from the 3 Stooges? The crying possibly was one. Dude that would be the bomb. I landed here to find a center finder for tubing and got distracted, what is that about?
