One of our many draw benches used to make copper tubes.
Here the copper is pulled through a die with a set-sized hole altering the tubes outside diameter. What you can’t see is inside the tube is a steel plug altering the wall thickness at the same time.
Each draw can alter the characteristics of a copper pipe by as much as 30%. Can make a tube longer and thinner, not shorter or fatter, so we always have to start with a thicker tube.
