I just learned how to enjoy Molto Dolce. But this was not until after giving away 6 of my 7 tins....did I finally learn how to enjoy that sticky gooey mess of a blend. And this is after leaving the one open tin I have, open for days and it not drying at all. So, what I tried is: I spread one healthy pinch, evenly and thinly, over a paper towel (leave no mounds). I then run it through the microwave at 6 to 9 seconds at first. The required time will vary from one to another microwave...so start with little time and work up. Then try another 4 to 6 seconds if the first run doesn't dry it enough. You do not want to over-nuke it because it will ignite and produce a thick cloud and ember inside the m-wave (I know because I set the time for 20 seconds for my first pinch). Once it is perfectly dried and not over-cooked, it's turned from near black and sticky, to a medium brown and dry to the touch...yet still pliable. When done in the nuker, I slide it from the paper towel into a bowl. And then onto the next: pinch, spread, nuke, dump into a bowl...and repeat until it is all gone through this process. Then transfer it all from the bowl, back into its tin. What a difference drying makes to this blend. I was going to give it a one-half star review, on SmokingPipes. But after doing I did, and smoking that first and second bowl, I had to give it a four star rating instead. I would've given it a five star rating...if I wouldn't need to do all I did for it to be not just usable...but very enjoyable, tasty, and yummy. I highly recommend trying at least one bowl's worth done this way. Also, after nuking it all, I smoked some in a Clay pipe. And with one light, it burned down to ash and the pipe cleaner I used came out nearly as clean as it was before using it.

A friend of mine is sending me a tin as he does not like the sweetness (I like sweeter blends). I bought a cob to try it with so I'm glad to hear your suggestion on that. Keep up the great videos!

This was the first tin of tobacco that I purchased. Smoked it right after opening in my first, brand new cob. Didn't know anything about drying out, had a bunch of re-lights

Cobs are sometimes better for some aromatics I guess. I have a tin in the cellar to try and will dry out the tobacco for an hour before. Most aromatics and wet blends like Gawith flake tend to need that. Some aromatic pros have advised me to smoke it a slow and cool as possible to keep the sweet flavour longer. Maybe a Meerschaum might be another alternative for this one?

I have this too and I've experienced the same thing. I think the issue is when drying too much. When I first got it it was a great smoke, but then after drying it really mellowed out. Perhaps drying it out can really change it.

You don't need to dry it out that long. 30 min max and the flavor is their in spades.....
