Brother this video was wind in my sails. Im a fitter/plumber...really I do both. The plumbing side I do hydronics and mechanical rooms. Well anyways I just got my money about two weeks ago and I was installing a mile a minute. I spent my first 2 months fixing other guys work that stayed on. I have been bitter. I chalk it up to my GF not liking me. Praise the Lord be blessed and thanks for the encouragement

This kind of situation can arise for any self employed or small company. Those that fail are the ones that don't get back up or their head goes. Those the push on through the hard times and endure all that goes win! Like the man said, it isn't easy.

I remember working out of the boilermaker union #263 out of Memphis in 1978 when two of the best tube welders in the union[and there were some good ones]went to Pascagoula Miss traveling out of the district because times were hard and busted out on their test.They were broke and had to wash dishes to get gas money to get home.Never know what may happen.

Hey man. First off, big fan, first time commenting, I’m a subscriber, and follower. Love what you’re doin with the channel, awesome influence. I to am a welder and watching your vids helps my outlook on my personal future in the business and helping in the direction I want to go which is a pipeline chaser as a welder. Sorry to hear about the lay off. PUMPED to see you film this next bed. Loved the first one you made on the Chevy, I’m about to buy an ‘18 ram 3500 myself so I’m sure if you make this bed as cool as the last one you make, without copyright infringements, I’m sure mine will be mocked after yours! Keep it up brother! Good luck. Hope to see you out there on the row sometime!

when in doubt grind it out when welding . new xray hands can get you to .Always preferred a senior over a junior xray tech . No matter what, they get the last say . Always ask the xray hand to see the film to see where the repair is to fix . Never argue the call unless it is cut out and looking you in the face or you can read film . The film can be audited by another xray tech 5 repairs in 2 years and gone ? 4 in a row doesn't usually happen something is not right . It only usually happens in the bead . Bad tacks? I've been caught on that . since ,always tried to look inside and run through tacks . It could be politics . I found over the 45 years I welded there usually was a divorce around the 2 year mark . they are sick of you or you are sick of them . Because you only have your reputation in this business one best look after it . If somethings wrong make it right . It is hard to take a kick in the nuts like this . News about stuff like this gets around fast . Talk about bad rod I found that has happened to. Hobart 6010 rod for beads .bad batch, flux was not uniform around the rod and there was an excess amount . It caused LF lack of fusion . and it is easy to see on the film just like LP or IP . sorry to hear about this . don't let it play on your mind ,and don't start second guessing your self . onward and forward .
@fittergrips20105 жыл бұрын
@Jim Alley yeah experience teaches us some expensive lessons some times . too soon old too late smart . yeah my first job on 3" .109 wall pipe was an experience and I fresh out of welding school thought I was one of the best welders going . WRONG . they even tried me out on beads . hahaha that's when I thought I was building high rise buildings for all the windows going in from top to bottom . And that was with good rod . Yeah that was a short job for me . This business is not easy and you better bring your A game all the time . there is no dog here eating your home work . Although I had a Raven steal my lunch , bag and all

Sometimes things happen and it gives you a chance to handle stuff at home and it's humbling but ALWAYS A DOOR OPENS WHEN ONE CLOSES. Sometimes just a chance to be with your wife and son is good enough reason to have some vacation time. Don't beat yourself up over it.
