This is a short video tour of the sim. Hopefully, this will help give some ideas to others. If there is anything you would like to see more of or have any questions please leave a comment.
I have written a book explaining in detail the complete construction. Measurements, materials, detailed drawings, methods including modifying off-the-shelf products, lining, and upholstery.
From building the panel at the start, to setting up the views at the end. The guide can be used to make any GA aircraft.
The book will cost one flying lesson, but having a home cockpit will save you much more than that.

Really cool, one of the best ones I’ve come across so far. What material die you use for the curved roof lining??

I used a product in Australia called Signboard which I purchased from Bunnings. It is like foam plastic sandwiched between two thin layers of flat plastic which has a plastic sheet that helps protect it while you are building, then you peel off the protective coating, and it's all clean. Very flexible but strong.

Thanks, the dimensions, plans and materials and methods are all in the book ( how to build a home cockpit) on Amazon. Gives you everything to build the sim. cheers

it is 1mtr 100mm width, 1mtr 450mm high, 1mtr 500mm from front screen to back wall. These are the internal measurments. I wanted it tight like the real thing. I felt it is better to train with the same constraints as you have in the real thing.

Nicely done. I just got done with my simpit build by using builder ideas off the web like you for inspiration. You can take a look at my KZfaq channel if interested as I went with a Piper/Cessna Mashup that's 100% enclosed and mobile.
