Learn how to play Chess the right way from beginner to master level. National Master Robert Ramirez will take you up the pyramid by following a proven Chess training program he has been improving and implementing for over 10 years.
Benefits of Playing Chess:
- Promotes brain growth
- Increases problem-solving skills
- It exercises both sides of the brain
- Raises your IQ
- Sparks your creativity
- Teaches planning and foresight
- Teaches patience and concentration
- Optimizes memory improvement
- Improves recovery from stroke or disability
- Helps treat ADHD
Chess is an intellectual battle where players are exposed to numerous mental processes such as analysis, attention to detail, synthesis, concentration, planning and foresight. Psychological factors are also present on and off the board; playing Chess stimulates our imagination and creativity. Every single move a player makes is the result of a deep analysis based on the elements presented on the battlefield.
Chess in its essence teaches us psychological, sociological and even moral values. In a Chess game, both players start with the same amount of material and time. The fact that the white pieces move first is considered to be practically irrelevant -especially because a player typically plays one game as white and one game as black. Consequently, the final result of the battle solely depends on each player. It doesn’t matter if you win by taking advantage of your opponent’s mistakes or by simply avoiding mistakes yourself. Truth is that Chess is an extremely individual sport and our defeats can only be blamed on ourselves and no one else. And this, in the end, only benefits us because we learn to be and feel responsible for our actions and never come up with excuses to justify ourselves.
We also learn that when it comes to our victories on the board, our opponent's mistakes play a more significant role than our own skills. Let’s not forget that a Chess game without any mistakes would be a draw. This way, Chess provides us with another valuable life lesson: be humble at all times.

Bro instead of moves in right corner you should try to put a virtual board... Else other things were nice. Thanks 🫶

I was pretty much able to understand what was happening. Also adding the engine was really nice. This angle should do, but u may also add a tiny virtual board too if that’s not much to ask. If u add that then the camera angle wouldn’t matter

I like your opponents pawn sack in the opening - it looked like it cramped your development quite a bit. It looks like something I would like to play as the white pieces. Is there a way for black to avoid giving this opportunity the white? Fine camera angle etc. I enjoy watching "real" chess :)

Well played!! Your opponent sure adjusted pieces a whole bunch, even some of yours. I wouldn't mind in a classical game, but in a Blitz game it would be very distracting for me.

Yesterday I played the Pirc in my second long game over the board for many years. White played a mix of the two bishop moves Bc4 and Bg5 (1.e4 g6 2. d4 d6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4. Nc3 Bg7 5.Bg5) and I was already a bit lost... 🤔 After some minutes I got the idea that c5 use to be a good reply to Bg5 in for example Kings Indian but here white could have played 6.e5 and black is not so happy I think. Better is 5... 0-0 and then after 6.Nf3 or f4 play Nxe4. Any other suggestions, maybe Nc6... to keep the tension? Luckily white played 6. dxc5 and after Qa5 I soon had a small advantage with pressure on the queenside from Nd7-e5-c4 and Rfc8. After mutual timetrouble I managed to win. Stockfish say that I made two mistakes but no blunder and 90% correct moves. Last 12 moves that closed the game was all correct and played in 4 minutes (a bit proud but no more of that! 😜). Thank you Pirc (I will treat you better next time I hope 🙂) and thank you Coach for ideas and inspiration. 👍👍

Maybe my perception is off, but your last move was a huge blunder. Why didn’t you take his pawn on g5 with your rook, since you had your queen bearing down on g2? Your pawn on h6 would have given your rook protection from his queen after the take. After that, isn’t that checkmate for you?

I’m curious- does the algorithm always look at the game front to back, or does it also consider how a game turns out to determine whether a move is good or not. I’ve played a game with no blunders/mistakes but still taken a loss, so that seems counterintuitive to the algorithm 🤣
