You should stuff it with newspaper tight inside and change newspaper around 3 times in during drying process. This would help to smooth the creases and it would absorb moisture faster

Awesome 👍 I use dessert boots for work because they are so comfortable, definitely going to get some saddle soap I watched several videos yours was the best by far thank you.

I haven't had a chance to do it yet due to constant usage of them for TDY events, hiking and training. I did find another method that works ok on my second pair of issue boots that I use for events involving the higher ups. I use a stiff brush to get the rough big stuff off, then use a large white eraser to rub out the stains. Then use the brush again to get the nap/suede back lifted up.

well this method is good for DEEP cleaning, but not like everyday, week or month ( depends on how you use this shoes hard or just for a walk) cleaning. for everyday care - horse brush, suede rubber or just a simple rubber. for every week - brush and soap with a LITTLE BIT of water, and then remove water with clean rag. This will help you to save your suede much longer. good luck!

Pisuarez, I used your video here and it works great. I did however, alter the process a little. I don't like to dunk my boots in water because it screws with the glue on the seams. So I took your idea on the toothbrush and tweaked it a little. I use a coffee cuIp half full with hot water, one tsp of dawn dish washing liquid, and a battery operated Walmart toothbrush. I turn on the toothbrush and put it in the cup to stir the mix then I just proceed to work the mix in the boot and then let them dry. It is awesome. Works great.

I see cyber haters , the man says he's had the boots for a while and washed them a few times , if the process does not work the boots would obviously show it , so I guess it works . Not to mention his work area looks like he's a handyman and not just some idiot like the ones trolling , . Nice video bro , keep up the good work .

ruben hernandez doesn't mean he's an expert with leather. Leather is preserved animal skin and moisture is its worst enemy. His use of saddle soap is right but soaking the leather fully will cause it to rot and destroys its strength. After the first wash it's not noticeable but after a few it will start to fall apart.

Loved your video... I have Corcoran Marauders, sage green. Oil, dirt, they are looking pretty rough. I'm going to try your method and see how it goes. It they look a little bleached afterwards, I may re-dye them sage to get them back to newish looking. Thanks for the video. I followed you.

I been in the army since 2010. I never cleaned my boots but i did ruin a pair by using mink oil on them. It did look good for about a week, but then the oiled looked like wet mud, so my boots looked permanently dirty. It was water proof though. Ill try washing my boots like that but it will probably affect the color into lighter shade of coyote brown into desert tan, which happens anyways without washing.

Their sold as a summer boot, they have vent rivets on the insole sides so they stay dry when sweating and are not waterproof, but you would need to stand in a puddle for a while for it to soak through. I use them year round though when it's cold use 2 pairs of socks. FWTW, I have a hard time finding comfortable boots and these were the best fit for me at the time. I think their made in America if I'm not mistaken.
@golfscotland6 жыл бұрын
McCrea military desert combat boots are the same design except there are two vents on the arch. They are U.S. made.

@pisuarez9 жыл бұрын
claro!! hay veces que con solo cambiar la suela interna o "plantilla" es suficiente para que las botas se transformen
@intergalacticchicano9 жыл бұрын
Eso si todavia tengo mis botas negras de entrenamiento basico desde el 99 y les he cambiado las suelas como 7 veces.

l00nbat I thought so too. The last time I washed boots like that, they shrank 3 sizes. I lost a perfect pair of snowboarding boots overnight. I'm sooooo not taking that chance with my combat boots.
@intergalacticchicano9 жыл бұрын
Detman101 they are desert boots and they don't shrink. As a matter of fact one of the tips you get them is to wet them and wear them so they mold to your feet. I have five sets of desert (issued) boots they all got soaking wet and never shrank.
@Detman1019 жыл бұрын
Okay, well I got a replacement issue set so I'll give the dunk method a try now. I'll report back with results.
