I dont do roofing but I did start picking up Christmas light jobs last year and some of those roofs were honestly starting to trip me out to much. Gonna start keeping a few of these on hand

Wow, kind of iffy at first, I have fallen off several roofs as a firefighter, so I am not to partial to roofs anyway. Great product. I probably wouldn't have hit the bottom floor so many times if we would of had those. 😅
@Drewsroofingandhomerepair3 жыл бұрын
I plan on buying 10 more of them hopefully had a better deal these ones here were $189 for two of them one of them is 2 foot wide the other is 3 feet wide so hopefully I can get a good deal on 10 but I would love to have a set of stairs to walk up on a roof like that carrying up my tools 🧰

I’m telling you right now you will love them. You should probably buy four of them right out the gate. I know the pricey but they’re well worth it. You will love them. I promise you.

How are they for use going up? Are they secure with a handgrip and pull up motion or are they engineered for full downforce when standing on top of one...?
@Drewsroofingandhomerepair2 жыл бұрын
Trust me it is an amazing roof tool to have. Straight down force is obviously the best but you can take two of these and climb a 1212 with no problem

@Drewsroofingandhomerepair2 жыл бұрын
I want to tell you something right now when you put that thing on the roof and you grab a hold of it and pull yourself up you’re going to be impressed I promise. I suggest owning at least six of them. They are so good do you could put four of them in a row and probably put a 2 x 8 on it and have a complete walk board from one side to the other pretty amazing I wish it was my idea Dammit I missed out again enjoy your enjoy them I can tell you that

People say these things last is 1 year... At $130 a throw that is expensive. Alternative to dumping a worn one, is to use it in dangerously tatty condition

I just don't get it....how does it stay on the roof so well? On my roof, I will be betting my life on this thing...so it would be great to understand a bit better how this works (guess it is just the materials...it appears?). But WOW...if it is fool proof (Ok...almost fool proof as idiots can screw up anything) then it is a GREAT PRODUCT!
@Drewsroofingandhomerepair2 жыл бұрын
It has a three-quarter inch foam cushion on the bottom of it. The foam cushion does not allow it to slide down in the roof. It’s a pretty amazing roof tool.
@Josh-ww5kz3 жыл бұрын
If you don't want to spend the money you can just make your own, 1 inch plywood and a 2x4. Then just use the same form as that, using the 2x4s as support on the corners. Then some spray adhesive to glue down the good ole couch cushion. Should have everything from leftover scraps from a job, except the spray adhesive if you're a roofer Creates a small pocket in the middle which is handy for putting a extra coil of nails then a bundle ontop if you make more than one
@Drewsroofingandhomerepair3 жыл бұрын
Good idea on the place for nails

Roofer gets on your roof NO harness or ropes ASK THEM TO LEAVE AND CALL A REAL ROOFING COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!
@countrymouser19623 жыл бұрын
Just a quick question. So if a roofer can't get on a roof without a harness or rope, "WHO" puts the Harness and Rope Fall Protection up on the roof for them? The General Contractor? Now I agree, that if this dude was working on a roof (not completed yet) then yup. Call someone who takes our job seriously. Now I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say "This guy is the owner showing how they are durable and sturdy. Perhaps it's HIS house he's on? Pretty quick to judge a "Show and Tell" video bro. Just sayin.

Thank you country mouse for the defense I’m also born in 1962. And I was demonstrating only how well they work on a roof. Like you said it was a demonstration video.
