I did classroom based teaching for Prince2 foundation and practitioner. It’s a four day class and you are expected to pass the exams of the end of the four days. I am a procrastinator so classroom based was perfect for me. However, it is very intense, cost more and you may need to do extra study after the five days but the classroom based does keep you structured.

Great video, as always. :-) How much formal writing is involved in being a project manager? Many folks struggle with formal writing and technical writing. I appreciate your insights.

Thank you ! Not much in my experience. Only time you’ll be doing formal writing as such is when constructing a work order/ proposal for a client really. A project charter of sort but more detailed . Other than that. It’s just normal document writing is day

@@pitolinmotioni just started the cousera Google project management course. After i watched your reviews and recommendations. Am new to project management. I wanted to ask if this certificate can be used to apply for roles in project management jobs after completion?

@ovasabiofficial well you can apply for roles with or without certification lol, I presume you’re asking if it will help your application, and I’ll say this for any pm certification. It’s always more beneficial to have pm certs when applying for roles. Not critical, but it does help you look more attractive to employers

Good insights. I started watching your videos once I started out with the thought of being a freelance project manager. I am currently pursuing Msc Management and have project management as my elective. Can you make a video on how to land your first remote job as a project manager because I also have to look over my family business, create samples and develop a portfolio?

Amazing congrats! And nope doesn’t matter . As long as you pass the official exam. Getting the cert is all that matters

Thank you this is soo insightful. I have a bit of time for myself and i am thinking of doing potentially 2 out of the three courses in Prince2 Agile, AgilePM, or Scrum Master. What would you suggest i do ? I am thinking instructor led for these. Another questions with instructur led do you also get materials to go with the live tutor. Thanks in advance 😊

Hey and thank you ! With instructor led courses yes, you usually do get materials to go with the live instructor, and they will work through those materials with you. Just double check with them to confirm. In regards to what course, I can’t answer that for you, it really depends on your goals. They are 3 different courses really. I will say though, Just do one, I don’t think you need multiple… or if you feel like you do, I’d seriously question why. Hope that helps !

Hi Pitol! I know that this is not the correct area where i am writing the comment sorry for that. I think you can provide me the correct suggestion and bring me out from the loop. I have an experience in IT for 4 yearx and I worked in technical area. Now I am wishing to shift into management side and interested with project manager role. Please let me know, if I switch to PM whether I will be given opportunity? Is my experience sufficient to get into this role? And how come I can crack a job(roadmap) in this role? Please reply. Hey there , so that’s not a question I can ask. Whether you’ll be given the opportunity is down to the organisation and how well you can relay your transferable skills to the employer. Some people are better at doing that than others , even with the same amount of technical experience. - check out my video on how to get into pm with no experience. There’s lots of tips on there :)
