As per GSM Arena and others the Pixel 7a has been universally panned for having poor battery life. I don't game, stream, vlog, etc. But after receiving the Android 14 and perhaps doing some battery saving tips can you confidently still say the battery life would last well up to 12 midnight or beyond ? (Thinking of getting either the 7a or the older 6a with a bigger battery capacity)

I'm thinking of getting the 7a because of some improvements over the 6a which I had few months ago. But I'm still concerned about the battery life. With doing some battery saving tips known out there can I get at least 5 hours SOT and will it last well up to 12 midnight in standard use? That's the million dollar question.

I have been using it for almost 3 weeks, and i need to say that i want my iphone back, reason 1 is a battery ( 3, 4 hours at max for me, i dont play any games btw) reason 2 is a lack of smothness in apps (but ui is smooth), reason 3 is the heat coming from it, it does heat up pretty easily with wifi on or Lte doesn't matter, o and the last thing is it charges really slow plus speakers are not that good

@@brae699 Nah, easy get 5-6 hours screen time with moderate usage. Lack of smoothness in apps is an app maker issue not a Pixel issue, some of the apps have the issue in all Android phones. Or you didn't turn on 90hz, it is on 60hz by default. Heat has been barely there, even doing more intense things heat is barely a problem. It gets a little more hot than the best phones, but not even close to a problem. And it charges about as fast as phones not that long ago did at the fastest, back when nobody thought it mattered and it still doesn't today. It will massively preserve battery compared to other phones, fast charging is bad for long term battery health. And it's about as fast as Iphone was not that long ago. Battery preservation is a big part of the experience, if you didn't want that you should have been researching. And considering this phone is regularly sold for half or less the price of the standard Iphone 11/12/13/14 etc then this shows you just didn't know how to research and get a phone in the correct price bracket. You don't get a phone at half the price (often less), and expect the same phone as the one that cost 2x or more pmsl

The plastic scratches super easy. Especially if you have a case that doesn't have the microfiber or silicone lining. Anything that gets between the plastic back and the hard plastic case gets grinded into it. Fyi. Great phone other than that. Could be brighter outdoors

Also the fingerprint sensor works great until you put a screen protector on. Then it's hit or miss. Some reason it almost never works in the dark 🤷

I do use MBA to edit unfortunately and it’s miserable… It lags like crazy and crashes every second 😭😭😭 Can’t afford a MacBook Pro at the moment tho

You said the battery is worse on the 6a compared to the 7a but currently I'm on 14 hours and 4 hours and 10 mins SOT and have travelled across 2 countries with mobile data on and I've had my 6a for over a year so the batter has degraded so 🤷

I was thinking about getting the Samsung S24 but the more videos I see on this phone, the more it seems like the android phone to get. At it's current price for $375 what more do we need, good camera, ✅, good operating system, ✅, good screen, ✅, system updates and security..I honestly don't want to spend $800 on a phone. $375 is much easier to handle at the moment.
