Pixel is better in photos but I was also impressed by its HDR in videos. As always, Iphones are decent for photos but top notch for videos.

With the price of iPhone I would rather buy a DSLR, if camera is my main priority. But it's pretty convenient to have a good camera in phone as well. But I would never buy smartphone with 80000 rupees just for better camera quality.

The "detail" you think you see in the iPhone's photos is digital sharpening. That's why later the Pixel looks far better when you take photos of a busier scene with plants, trees, people. Natural detail vs sharpening.

As a tradition of pixel phone after getting Tensor chipset, Pixel 7A also has a heating issue. Even normal using wifi heats the phone if you compare with other phones. And if you use 5G then god bless the battery life. The same thing is for the camera also. I think there are just 2 reasons to buy the Pixel 7A, Stock UI and camera. Otherwise you can get far better hardware and performance in this price range.

iPhones have always been about videography more than photography. And if one wants the best of both, one should go for the Pro models. It's surprising how much difference in optimisation is intended by the brand at that price gap. The thing with Pixel that I like the most is it keeps the photos as close to natural as possible (iPhone still has touch-up tendencies at post-processing, like that digital sharpening), giving the user a great deal of flexibility over editing it out later as per wish. But, yeah, need to agree, the video stabilization seems off on 7a, even after having OIS, to the point, it seems a bit jarring.

iPhone comes with ANC for calls at its best. One of my client calls from his pixel using mobile phones loud speaker which catches lot of echo. Where as his wife uses iPhone which sounds clear. Mobiles first use is a call.

if they use the snapdragon processor for the pixel 7a I would definitely buy that one but the tensor is not a worthy processor at this price range. The performance is very bad also heating issues and network reception issues with tensor makes it a bad choice.

Don't get the moto, they don't know how to do cameras. Pixel 7 will overheat. Get the s22 plus.

I’ve been using the iPhone 14 Pro for the past 4 months and I bought it only for its camera as I am someone who does mobile photography a lot and I have to say I am disappointed. The pictures are over-sharp and has this contrasty look to it which results in crushed shadows. You can use ProRAW but they process that as well and the file size is huge. The video quality is really good but I don’t do videography a lot. I wish I would have picked a Pixel or S22/S23 Ultra instead. I believe the camera sensors in iPhone 14 Pro are really good and capable, it is just they should provide an option to toggle their “photonic engine”.

Yes, I know. The West has brainwashed everyone, including the Westerners themselves (the general population). iPhone is such a user-unfriendly phone, to begin with. I compared photos between my Galaxy S series and iPhones for years but simply iPhone only takes better pictures in the tech review videos and sometimes in bright daylight without comparing to any other phones. My iPhone user friends always ask me to take pictures using my Galaxy phone in the USA. And this has been going on since the s10 series when I started to compare. My friends really praise how good photos Samsung takes! I use a Macbook Pro, and iPad Pro, and all of my friends use iPhones so nobody would be happier than me to switch to an iPhone but I can't only because of the picture quality (not to mention other unmatched features that Samsung comes with). Please, people, don't be brainwashed by the West. In India, everyone (maybe not the females) will regret after buying the iPhone. Just wait and watch.

@@Samdevay If camera is your priority, Pixel 7 is the best option in that price range. I have seen people taking really artistic shots using Pixel. The only caveat is that the portrait mode is terrible on Pixel 7 series. Moreover, I have seen people criticising the Tensor G2 for its overheating (the chipset is based on Exynos by Samsung so I believe that is true).

@@godsmagic9656 The reason people prefer Samsung photos is because of its pleasing output (the “saturated” look) which makes the photos look lively. But, the more neutral tone of iPhone images allow it to be better edited in the post. I prefer the “vibe” of my iPhone 6 over the 14 Pro’s heavily processed look. The only reason I hate my 14 Pro camera is because of its over-processing and there is no workaround to toggle it except in post where I have to reduce the textures quite a bit to make it usable. I was using OnePlus 7 Pro previously and the camera was good enough for my use but I hated the crushed shadows, the haloing effect around the subject in HDR and the biggest bummer for me was that it use to render Indian skin tone as orange-ish red (hue). Ps- I don’t feel iPhones are bad phones, in general. They do offer some things that are often taken for granted such as the longer software support that is over 6 years sometimes and security updates are pushed for even longer, the processor is so good that it won’t make you feel slow for as long as you use it, the fact that all the iPhones whether it is the latest one or some 4-5 years old ones they all are going to get the updates at the very same time, the apps such as Instagram and Snapchat are better optimised for iPhones , and the basics too, for instance if your family members and friends also own an iPhone, FaceTime is way convenient and offers better quality as compared to any third party app like Google Meet or WhatsApp. And then there is this whole ecosystem thing.

@@BrokenHumor___ There are some apps that are better optimized for iPhone, but now Instagram FB are optimized for Samsung too. I can't agree with you about the photo quality of the iPhone with you. But One thing I agree with you and the reason the Westerners still use iPhones is Facetime and iMessage. Those two features of the iPhone made the iPhone what's it worth. I am telling you, all Indians will buy iPhones and then they will regret it because they have used better in terms of user-friendliness.

Videography can't be beat on iphones. My GF's iPhone 13 gets better videos than Galaxy S23 Ultra. There might be better 'camera' phones than iPhones for some people, but iPhones have a solid place with their overall value, at least for the people who'll utilise all of its features and services (apps). I still use my ROG 3, and will probably get the galaxy s23 coz it's compact and has better features than iPhone 14.

So the s21fe is arguably a better camera phone than the iPhone 14 considering you preferred it over the pixel 7a. Also, the s21fe has better selfie camera than the pixel. You should have included the s21fe in this mix.

The reason why iPhone is taking Bett selfies (sharper) is because of the minimum focusing distance is set to infinity with Pixel. It is a stupid decision by Google and is a hardware problem. No body is talking about it I don't know why!? Just zoom in the picture taken with the front camera, the face is out of focus, and the background is crisp. I have the phone and I can confirm this is a horrible problem.

See iPhone 14 itself is pointless this time. Get an iPhone 13 instead of it and save some money. If you want consistency and want to use it for longer period of time, iPhone totally wins. Pixel is good but it has issues like modem, heating while on mobile data, taking videos for more than 5 mins will heat up. It’s not that iPhones don’t but it’s usable atleast. Pixel’s heating is on another level. Also no support of HDR content after android 11. Best overall android phone will be s23 series. Or else stick to Chinese ones. Pixel could be good secondary phone but as primary you probably won’t like it. And if it needs to be an iPhone then it would be 13.

Even if you consider iphone 14 pro max with a pixel 7a the picture quality would turn up better on the pixel 7a. But the pixel phones lack something called "consistency" Which the iphones offer.
