Looking good, quite impressed with the quality against direct sunlight. Portrait mode seems still lacking, but I don't care about that anyway. Suggestions: more landscape photos, they work better on youtube for quality. Also would be nice to know what lens and camera mode you are using for each shot. Enjoyed the video, thank you!

O yeah, forgot. I agree that Google's Translation is absolutely brilliant. Have been in Albania and Greece the past weeks but I live in Sweden. Google Translate supports all these languages, made practical things so much easier when travelling. iPhone Translate? None of the above.

love the vid!! love the frank language! I am waiting for mine to be delivered today. I have the 6a (which I actually like a lot.. but it is too dim, the fingerprint scanner sucks, and turns out I wanted inductive charging). This gets to all my concerns and adds a lot. This is my first premium phone in a while and I am jazzed after your review.

Great review and great phone! The Pro Res Log recording with the iPhone 15 won me over. Best video from a cell phone I've ever seen.

@@KynoBandzior I can tell you now that Video boost will not compete with Log format. First with Video boost, the clip has to be uploaded to Google's servers and then sent back some time later. A cumbersome workflow. Second, it will just kick already heavily edited videos, leaving no room to match footage in with other cameras. The 2 features are not the same.

Log is meant for creatives, video boost is just offering the best video quality possible using google's servers. Two different features for two different users. Point and shoot users, video boost will be great. Pro users who want more control over the entire process...Log recording

Are you a professional videographer? The log recording is a bit strange to me. Professionals won’t use an iPhone, they obviously use professional gear. And normal people who just want to take some videos of their loved ones would never bother with the workflow… who would use this?

Hello, thank you very much for the video :) Just one question, why waiting for the Pixel 8a for a smaller body while you could just get the Pixel 8 that is already smaller than the Pixel 7 (and maybe even slighty smaller than the 7a). Also the Pixel 8 should be more premium than the Pixel 8a if Google keep the same trend as for Pixel 4, 5, 6 and 7.

Rumors also point to Google actually underclocking the Tensor G3 this time around for the 8a, which on one hand is kind of an L, but it should still perform slightly better than the G2 while providing much better battery life, so maybe they're onto something.

My 3 biggest gripes on the Pixel 7 Pro are the horrible battery life, the overheating, and the slow charging. There's not too much out there on any of those topics yet. I did see a tear down video and Google wrapped the battery with a thick sheet of graphene paper as well as on the processor chip and some copper pieces and so far it seems to be working as it's not getting as warm as the seven pro. Charging is now 30 watts which is a very minor upgrade but I'll take what I can get. Above all I'm really hoping the battery life is improved cuz my 7 Pro barely gets 3 hours of screen on time. Anyway, I'm looking forward to your other videos you post on this.

I agree. It's almost unusable once it starts heating up which eats the battery life as well. I thought it was the case but it still overheats with no cover as well. I'm getting half a day with moderate to heavy use of the camera. That's with battery saver on.

I'm in the same boat. I'm just waiting on battery life reviews. I'll most likely be disappointed with biometrics, but everything else looks awesome. But gaming will definitely be slower than the 14 pro

For biometrics, face unlock is now class 3 ie has officially become a secure way to log into your banking apps, access ur wallet, unlock ur phone etc…
