Switched to Pixel 8 from an iPhone 12. MAN. Finally USb C, 120Hz and quick SO. Don't care about the camera since I have a proper one (the Pixel one is great tho + I don't have any other Apple devices so I am really happy I switched back to Android (I had the iPhone 12 since June 2021 and got it mainly for the camera)

First of all, i use and have used an S23 as my primary phone since it first came out. I just also bought a Pixel 8 as my 2nd device. Love it so far, its soo dang clean as far as software and the animations are sooo smooth! The pixel 8 is definitely an amazing device, it does extremely well the basic things that regular ppl do on their phones in a daily basis. Highly recommend

Exactly. I don't think there's any real winner. IPhone is theoretically more powerful, but it honestly doesn't feel that way in day to day use due to the slow display... And a lot of people, when they encounter clean optimized feature rich Android find it more enjoyable to use than iOS, while the reverse can sometimes be said for apps. Even value is a toss up if one factors in resale value. I use a pixel 7 pro but can acknowledge the iPhone does a lot of things right. These silly fights in the comments are over incredibly minor differences... Neither phone company loves you back so just use what you enjoy

Currently have the Pixel 8. Got it for Black Friday but im going to return it to Best Buy. What I don't like is that wifi sometimes stops working and I need to disconnect and reconnect. Also the call quality is noticeably worse than my old iPhone 12. Now this is personal preference but the feel of using the phone simply isn't as intuitive compared to an iPhone. I also am not a fan of the Lock Screen functionality compared to the iPhone. Also it takes time to load and render things and makes the phone feel slow. Other than that the one thing I think is far superior over an iPhone is Google Assistant.

My experience has been the opposite. And i was coming from a 13 Pro Max. I did briefly use the 15 but then ultimately settled with the Pixel 8.

not changing my 7 until google put a telephoto lens on the non-pro and they make it a 5'9-6 in device with a max wieght of 165g. I don't care abt the non-powerful processor.

Nice comparison and I would pick the pixel 8 definitely the better value the funny thing is iPhones cost more but the resale value is much better than the pixel. If you’re a person that keeps your phone along time and the pixel is a good choice but if you’re a person that upgrades every year or two better to get the iPhone because you can sell it and the resale value will be much better anyway.

having more than my fair share of "budget"/"mid-range" smartphones(iOS/Android, as well as plenty VERY high-end models), I can say Pixel is the go-to, unless you're locked in the Apple Ecosystem, or for whatever reason you feel like iPhone is more intuitive for you. For the vast majority that just want the phone to work properly and don't wanna have to worry about security issues or build quality, Pixel 8/8Pro. And if you're using the Pixel on Google Fi, you get VPN built-in. Plus, like @MKBHD mentioned in one of his older Pixel review videos- "we'll just fix it in post"- I played around with my phone's camera(I own the pixel 8 on Android 14/Feb SEC.UPD.), you can take a normal, generic, basic picture, then spice it up to make it look 100% professional. At the end of the day, it comes down to budget, usability, lifestyle(how rough are you on your phones)and personal preference.

I wish the pixel 8 had the matt finish glass it feels more premium in the hand ...i still like it and would get one for christmas would be nice upgrade for my pixel 5 . Pixel phones arent very bright so it would be interesting to experience this and upgraded cameras ofcourse

If you use a clear case they all look glossy even if it's matte finish..! And if you use a matte case it doesn't matter anyway..!! If you don't use a case then good luck .. 😊

Indeed pixel and cameras are synonymous with each other....if I could get better skin tone elsewhere than pixels,I wouldn't have bought a Pixel phone..See how it blows the iPhone away when it comes to dark skin tone

Bought iphone15 coming from s20fe. I dont like the Ai pictures. Haven't seen the pixel8 live and there was no chance seeing it live before buying. The iPhone 15 looks and sound great. Pictures are great.some other things not so great.but in overall I'm a happy iphone 15 owner who always said never to buy apple crap again. 😂

If you're platform agnostic the Pixel is clearly the better device: Better display (120Hz), better camera system (comparable main camera but with a vastly superior ultrawide cam) and 100 bucks less for the same amount of storage.

Google Pixel 8/8 Pro for the win. I love the iPhone too as I was in Apples ecosystem for over a decade, however I just find the iPhone to be extremely boring now a days so out of the Google Pixel 8/8 Pro and iPhone 15/15 Pro Max I'd most definitely pick the Pixel. If im being honest though there is no phone better than my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

At first I also thought the pixel was the better phone after coming from the iPhone 13 but after using the Pixel 8 pro for two months now I'm really disappointed in this. This should have been better.

@@somkayne my games will crash and I'll need to restart the phone to get them working again. Even though I deleted and reinstalled the games thinking that would help. Also the call quality isn't the best nor can I hide the background noise during a call like on my iPhone. Also the photos app is so slow and heats up the phone pretty badly. I don't hate this phone in fact I really like it but I expected better at this price.

those phones are literally the same. YES. its android but it works as good as ios since its a simple clean google android. the only advantage has iphone when it comes to screen, its fire resistant. but who will put a lighter close to your phone screen ?

Ok, finally got the iPhone 15pro after years of reviews and Apple hype. It’s all lies, I can’t believe all the comparison between android and iOS. Android is by far superior. I still prefer my pixel 5 to my 15pro, the 15 is just better with battery and both phones battle in the camera department. Haven’t even gotten to my 6pro yet. I don’t have the 8/8pro, but I already know it’s by far a better phone for me than this overhyped, overpriced, dumb, boring, status symbol I call the iPhone. 8pro for me next.

@@mcprince1073hey man so I have a pixel device ( pixel 7a/launched in 2023) and an ipad aswell....so if ure looking for a phone with a really good battery go with the iphone....the software experience of the pixel is really the very best of Android....no bloatware...and most importantly Software is build around their own processor and the other way around...just like apple does. So in that regard both phones are really really great. If ure a tech enthusiast u will def notice the 60 hz display of the iphone which triggers the hell out of me. For messaging here in europe we use whats app so for the pixel aswell as the iphone its totally the same. And most importantly...for what you pay the pixel offers more....apple is not so great at price to feature ratio....for example the 60 hz display which should be illegal for a phone in 2023. But with things like face ID apple is on top....it works too on the pixel but there apple just does a better job. Overall the feel of the pixel can be customized. Not only the OS itsself but also animation speeds. What does that mean? For example the pixel out if the box is really snappy with its animations...which you can make even faster...so i u really like the animation speed of apple u can set it similar to that aswell. My friend who has a 14 pro max says that my Pixel phone is too snappy for him whilest i tend to find apples animations kinda slow ( well that changed as i recently got an ipad and I really fell in love with apple). Some people also say that sometimes the pixel overheats but i havent experienced that in my almost 4 months of usage. Altough batterlife is okay but certainly not great. If ure looking for an android the pixel gets as close to the iPhone as no other phone...with its refined software ( apple is still a small small small margine in the lead) aswell as a really smooth experience just as apple. But you also have to give it a chance...just like I did it with apple...at first it can be confusing but now I live the Ipad... Hope that helped.

Whatever chip this phone uses just isn't enough. This phone is slow to load the photos app then constantly asking you to buy more storage. Basic games can sometimes crash for no apparent reason. Then there's the call quality. If you're in a loud environment this thing picks up all of your surroundings and I still haven't found a way to change the microphone settings like you can on iPhone. I'm disappointed in the Google Pixel 8 pro. This experience could have been better.

Are u high? Pixel 8 is beating the iPhone 15 pro in every way except gaming maybe, better pictures, better photo processing, better AI , better Assistant and a better display what are you talking about? For $300 less , believe me I have both and the Pixel is just a joy to own right now !

The iPhone 15 is a decent upgrade, but I would pick the pixel 8 . Firstly I just can't use a 60hz display at ₹79999/ ( my entire pc setup is running at 165hz) . Secondly Android makes more sense to me because I am totally into customisation. Thirdly I never used an Apple product and don't plan to use any at least for now

don't buy the pixel 8... it's a poor screen and horrid. don't make that mistake. My pixel 7 is better and if you must buy a comfortable device, there are many options better. get the pro even the 7 pro, the 8 speakers are bad... don't listen to this guy.

Pixel is known to use the cheapest chipsets. Outdated modems and poor battery’s. Never again they ruined pixel with the pixel 6.

The 6 was a literal toaster oven. Would heat up even at light tasks. I skipped the 7 and stuck with the iPhone because the 6 left a sour taste. The 8 however has been surprisingly good. I expected alot worse. No overheating, good battery life, and has been pretty snappy.
