Personally I enjoy the Gustavo segments, the fact that he doesn’t as easily retain speed means you have to be more thoughtful in the way you approach enemies, and he has the perfect solution to that, his rat kick, which just feels really nice to use. I get that’s more of a matter of opinion, but I would’ve liked to hear exactly why you don’t like him, all you really said is that you just didn’t want to play as him. Having him as a selectable character also wouldn’t work, as he’s too different from Peppino to be able to be played in any level, his segments are designed specifically around him. I also think the accidentally running up a wall thing is more of a punishment for carelessly running onto walls without thinking, similarly to bashing into walls at Mach 3, and it can also be cancelled instantly just by letting go of the run button, which actually makes it preferable to regularly stopping your Mach run, as it lacks the usual screech animation.

Something of note as that the only confirmed content update as of now is The Noise coming back as a playable character like he was supposed to be

Personally I loved playing as Gustavo and Brick, mostly because of how the game establishes their relationship. In the hub areas you can see them fighting each other near the beginning and later in the game becoming best friends. I also feel like the fact they play as a two-in-one character not only makes them stand out from Peppino’s gameplay, but also highlights the bond they built

I am having SO MUCH FUN with this game. And for $20 it is worth every penny.

really well put together! loved my playthrough so far, P ranking has taken way too much time, barely on world 2 after 10 hours lol

2:07 Any time I hear someone say the Super Jump is awkward to handle, that's all I need to hear to know they played with a controller. A majority of playtesting and design was done with a keyboard in mind, which is why the up arrow of a keyboard feels so much more fluid to use when Super Jumping, compared to a Thumb Stick of a controller, especially when adjusting it before actually SJumping.
