Do we really use isto also for feminine nouns? But I've seen the word esta meaning this for feminine nouns. I've also seen este. And I've seen essa/esse and aquela/aquele meaning that. Those weren't mentioned. I might have seen other variants too, I'm not sure. On Duolingo, I think isso is sometimes translated as this but sometimes as that.

Olá! Yes, we do. 'Isto', 'isso', 'aquilo' are neutral pronouns. Isto é um carro (This is a car). Isto é uma bicicleta (This is a bike). But... Este carro é bonito (This car is beautiful). Esta bicicleta é bonita (This bike is beautiful). You may want to check this lesson out about the other pronouns you mentioned. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mNmHZdep0qm9gHU.html

Is there any difference between Brazilian version grammer and Portugal Version grammer?
@PlainPortuguese
@PlainPortuguese Жыл бұрын
Olá! Brazilian Portuguese and European Portuguese have some grammatical and lexical differences. Some of these include the pronunciation of certain words, the use of some idiomatic expressions, and differences in vocabulary standardization. Although they share the same linguistic root, Brazilian Portuguese is considered a distinct variation of the Portuguese language. If you learn European Portuguese, you will be understood in Brazil, and vice-versa.

@@PlainPortugueseThank you for your reply. So it won't be correct for me to learn Brazilian version if i want to interact in European Portuguese? Or i can still get benefits from Brazilian version.
@PlainPortuguese

@@rizwanulghani3027 If you have the chance to learn European Portuguese, do it. Brazilian Portuguese sometimes sounds too informal for those who speak European Portuguese.

Does ‘isso’ apply to questions like: You speak Portuguese, don’t you? Você fala Português, isso?
@PlainPortuguese
@PlainPortuguese Жыл бұрын
Oi, Aamir! Tudo bem? In fact, 'né' (né = não é) would be a more appropriate option to tag questions, while 'isso' would be a good option to 'that's right', as an answer. Ex. - Você fala português, né? - Isso.
