Love that you made self-care ("passion" in HOP) part of the first bucket! 👏🤩 Absolutely a daily essential to do something fun or that nurtures us in order to avoid overwhelm.

I'd like to add a list of habits I've conquered & are continuing to keep consistent just as a reminder.

I LOVE how you have us plan a habit and something for ourselves!!! This is so important!!! I'm disabled and when I have appointments that's all I'm basically able to do!!!!

I start with appointments. No point saying what my top 3 priorities are if I have no time to do them eg if I have meetings or appointments in the morning n evening that day I would only have an afternoon to do my top 3 priorities. So my 3 buckets are 1. Appointments 2. Top 3 priorities and 3. Wish list. Love the HOP it idea!

I have been doing this for a week now when you posted it. It has kept me more focused. Thank you. Where do i put laundry, dishes, and cooking? I can only fit in these three most days along with my habit,(meal planning) and my passion (Bible reading) and I don’t ever get to my objectives.

Oh, Laura, so simple, and yet so impactful. The HOP really resonated with me. In particular, the habit! Thank you.

I’m a list girl. I do something similar. I make list of need to do items then I make a list of want to do items. If I don’t get the want to do list done then I add them to the next day’s want to do list. I challenge myself to see how many of the want to do items I can get done and feel like a total boss when I get them all done. I love that feeling. If you have a planner, I’m also a planner junkie, coming out like this I totally got to check it out! ❤

Love your simplicity Ppl think I am very organized…I am not All my appointments are on my phone. My things to do are on a simple notepad from the dollar store . Often to motivate myself I treat myself to a meal or coffee as I do my paperwork or errands The fancy planers / stickers / pens become overwhelming.

Wow I really like this & shall try this week! Elegant, yet complex enough to be realistic. Will definitely tune in for follow up video next week ~ glad i clicked on text notification, though i seldom have clicked on any such notifications...i was/am in a place ripe for growth again. I think this could be very helpful as i learn to structure my life in manageable ways. Thank you : )

I just watched your goal-setting video and now I'm watching this. I mentioned in a comment on your other video that I wish I'd watched before I ordered my system for 2023, but I'm thrilled to see that I *can* use *this* system for the rest of 2022 and then in 2023! I use a weekly planning notepad to plan my weeks, and I can easily use this system in it. I was doing something similar before--I had my days divided by Work, To Do, and Appointments. But I like this method better because it focuses on the must-dos and the "would be nice ifs" without necessarily dividing them by work and personal. I really like that. I won't wish 2023 away, lol, but I AM already looking forward to ordering your planner for 2024. :)

Is there a certain amount of time that should be allocated for each of the top 3 priorities? For example, can I put "clean house" knowing it will take a few hours? Or do you recommend breaking it down into a smaller increment?
@GetOrganizedHQ
@GetOrganizedHQ Жыл бұрын
I don't have a hard and fast rule about this. Sometimes I do put things that will have several steps . I think the key is: that you can actually accomplish it and that you know when you're done. Like, how do you know when you've "Cleaned the house" since there's probably always more you could clean?

Great information, thank you Laura. Is there a meaning behind the color of the bucket? or do we color them once we finish the task?
