Aww Chris that's a shame, I hate to see people crash!! Because I know how bad it makes you feel, An elderly pilot once said to me on KZfaq, " if you're not crashing, you're not flying" it's something that happens to us all, just brush yourself off and start all over again 😀👍

It’s a great field, the strip is ona slight slope, but that does not effect the landings really, but as for were it is and what you see for miles, is special. Will be even better when I land on the wheels and not the nose. Have a great Sunday and week ahead 🫡

When I saw you were at a field I was SO happy for you! What a great club strip. Man I hate when trees reach out and grab models. The damage wasn't too bad. Then you said you crashed. Dangit! Man she spun in straight down. It happens man. Sorry about that, but it is fixable. Glad your spirits are still high. Good excuse for a new toy!

Thank you Adam for feeling my excitement, the strip is not bad, it’s on a slight slope, but still a nice strip. The people at the club are a great bunch, that’s why we all got together to get the plane out of the tree. I recon she fixable, that will be over the winter, I think I go back to the FMS Pa-18, but I will rip the Gyro out. I hope you guys have a great weekend ahead. 🫡

When I go flying my wife reminds me to remember to take a black plastic Bin bag , to this day I am not sure what she is saying ??? well done on the Video.

It happens I guess, but yes I had a bag with me for such occasion. You never know I might be able to fix this plane, mind you was interesting to see the Lipo smoke up. Back to the field next week with another plane, let’s hope this comes home, not in a bag. Have a great week ahead 🫡

Brilliant flying site, very scenic and what a lovely place to fly radio control model aeroplanes. Bad luck with the plane but these things happen.

Yup on a sunny day you can see for miles of country. It’s also nice to sit and have tea and sandwiches while chit chatting when you having a break between flights. Have a great Sunday and week ahead 🫡

Heya Cliff, yup they a great bunch, we was talking about the Hawk building and off course we was chatting about you as well, I hope you visit again and I will take you up to the field 😉. Flight investigation will start tomorrow, it’s a shame as it was my second flight, first was quick as the rates were still too high. All good fun, nearly finished my second wing, get five mins here and there. Hope you have a great Sunday and Week ahead 🫡

@@DadsRCHangar Thank you Chris,One of most common trainers I know is Sig Kadets many people have mastered this fine airplane the lt40 i learned from this as well I still keep all of them just a great airplane and easy to build i think it’s not only a trainer but a plane that you can take and fly fast or slow and easy to see happy flying

@@DadsRCHangar I seen Kadet senior on e bay some time ago I have one scratched built senior I fly the little brother to it the Kadet seniorita has only 3 channels I run la40 very simple and gets great fuel mileage sig manufacturing is supposed to produce the original kits in future thanks Chris

I do hope you can get to the bottom of that little mystery, Chris. It can happen to the best of them, like your friend at the club, at any time... but you have a good attitude to adversity which is half the battle.

Well as they say, it’s not worth crying over spilt milk. Yup the people at the field are great and share my passion. We have a lot of X-RAF even a X-737 pilot, so you get a lot of interesting conversations. I am sure I will film them at some point. Flight investigation will begin tomorrow. 😄. @@DadsRCHangar Chris Eastgate park has a slope that adds a little fun to landings and takeoffs. It's fun to touch the uphill wheel than the downhill on landings. Glad you found your Club

Do not recommend chopping a battery it's not safe, it should be dropped into a bucket of salted water and left for 7 days..it will safely discharge and then it can be thrown, that white smoke from the battery is toxic..

To be honest, it smelt like the old cap strips you used to get. I did not know salt did that, I was more concerned it would blow in the car on the way home, the battery was pretty split. 🫡

@@DadsRCHangar totally understand your concern I now carry a small slim ammo box in the car (modified so it is not airtight, and place any crashed battery I am not sure about into it so that it is "SAFE" er taking it home.. mind you Chris if it went off I would have to stop the car right away and bail out !!! 🏃

Hi Chris sounds like a linkage arm has come loose to go into a spin or was it a stall did you have some speed up or were you to slow either was a nice plane

I should of gone when I said to you this morning cos half hour later life took over lol soz to see anyone crash buddy but like you said it happens and even seasoned pilots crash it will be my first flight as well when I finally get out so I’m gonna have an adrenaline rush from hell if I manage to land it lol I’ll have to sit down after 😂 I wish I could fly for as many clicks I do with fingers they got some action at least nice F16 winging it my way to me I always take about 3-4 when I go further from my house then at least you got another to fly after 😂

Hi Richard, the new Airfield requires you to have a ‘A’ Cert to fly there. So I am back to buddy box with a trainer and examiner that’s also at the club. I am sure that once I get more stick time, everyone will go my way this year. Hope you having a great Sunday. 🫡

@@DadsRCHangar you make the header look like it was a civilian aircraft of some kind crash not a model. I have never seen a toy plane with a fireball and smoke higher that a large crowd of people. I stand by my statement CLICKBAIT !!!!

Do you look at who's channel it is everytime you see a spectacular picture and words for the cover ??????
