Plane Windscreen Explodes Mid-Flight | Air Crash Investigation | National Geographic

Күн бұрынAs the pilots begin their decent, disaster hits and the cracked cockpit windscreen of Sichuan Airlines 8633 explodes, sucking the first officer partially out of the window. As the aircraft nose dives towards the mountains the first officer hangs on at 32,000 feat above the earth.
The high terrain below means impact is imminent, the crew must battle gale-force winds and oxygen deprivation if they have any hope of landing the plane safely.

Similar to the accident of Speedbird 5390 but the only differences are the crew member that got sucked out once the windshield broke was the first officer and the other is that they got the airplane to an altitude where the pressure equalizes enabling the first officer to climb back inside the cockpit easily.

There are a lot more differences, for example, the door slammed onto a lot of the circuit breakers, popping them out and disabling a lot of plane functions.

i've never flown in an airliner but if I did I'd keep my seat belt fastened from takeoff to landing so i wouldn't hit my head on the ceiling in turbulence, or get sucked out if a hole appeared somewhere..:)

Many people do....especially around the equator where it gets really bumpy.......Getting knocked out by hitting the ceiling ain't fun at all...

@@delfine7163 Not sure, just giving some interaction to the channel with whatever that comes to my mind (like in the accident in Akron, when the passenger said "Hey, what's going on?!" He sounded like a Mexican KZfaqr)... But now thinking, maybe much more pale due to cold, and as far as I could see he didn't loose his consciousness... But he could have looked more death than alive.

The 2019 movie is more dramatic and has more accurate design of the aircraft interior, however Air Crash Investigation is not too dramatic and is more historically accurate on this accident.

But it still uses its usual cabin mockup as most featured narrowbody jets that are in 5 abreast config and has A330 overhead lockers...

@@v12ts.gaming Yeah, the cabin mockups they used usually look weird. They have overhead compartments and ceilings that look like from older or different aircrafts. The number of abreast seating was sometimes incorrect too.

@@sunnyfon9065but in Air Crash Investigation there is no storm so Air Crash Investigation is more accurate because in real life there is no storm the 2019 movie it's wrong

Same thing happened to British airways. The captain had been sucked out the window with the flight attendant holding on to him. I believe his co pilot didn’t have a much experience at that point yet managed to land the plane on his own.

@@thegamingaviator13 Seat belt is not enough if the window's gone, you need to wear the harness in addition to the seat belt.
