🇯🇵Among the weapons developed in the latter phases of the war for the Pacific were Kamikaze aircraft, with many older designs having already been used for this task. However, some Kamikaze aircraft were to be specially designed for such a role, being cheap and able to be built quickly and in great numbers. One such aircraft was the Ki-115 Tsurugi (Sabre) which was built in small numbers, and never used operationally.

My mother was one of the students enlisted to work in the factories making aircraft engine parts, and she experienced many air raids. Quite a difference to how I spent my teen-aged years.

With the advantage of hindsight, it might have been more efficient to attack allied suply ships (worked for the Americans in 42).

I am of two minds regarding the Japanese resistance in the last year of WWII. On one hand, I am very impressed by the ferocious tenacity of their defense. On the other hand, I am astonished that they didn't recognize that it was a lost cause.

can you do more obscure japanese plane?? german last ditch wunderwaffe already overdone on media but the japanese last effort video are scarce, for example the ki 83, ki 96, ki 87 etc etc

I always thought you just say "K I" for Japanese fighters (at least it was the norm on older documentaries), now everybody's saying "Key"... Which one is correct, and what does it actually mean?

I think “key” may be more correct, since in Japanese it’s one character, which is pronounced like “key.”

My guess is that it's pronounced 'key' as in Japanese, one of the kanji is pronounced 'key' and written as 気 if I'm not mistaken. That kanji also means spirit or mind or atmosphere, and is used in different contexts. (I live in Japan, but my kanji has never been good, so take what I say with a barrelful of salt).
