Planeprint Big Bobber 125% upscaled - Maiden Flight

2 жыл бұрынThis is the maiden flight with my 3D printed Planeprint Big Bobber, upscaled to 125% size. Both landings were crap but showing that the XL Bobber can take a lot. :) It's worth printing the Planeprint Big Bobber to a bigger size. It flies even greater!

Very nice job, congrats! And what do you think about use LW-PLA at wings and front fuse to reduce weight?

There is no need to print parts with LW-PLA. My 125% XL Bobber is with 3kg on the heavy side but it flies very good and can also be flown pretty slow. If you want to print it with 125% size, you need more weight in the nose anyway for the correct CG. I had to glue the tray for the lipo packs directly behind the motor and it aditional needed some lead in the nose.

Vers Nice plane i’m looking forward to build one, And this seize looks pretty good to make a scale model but does it realy fly on 3s ?

Of course! This motor delivers 1000 watts on 3S and is more than enough for this heavy 125% upscaled 3d printed Big Bobber from Planeprint. I'am flying with 1/3 throttle all the time.😉 But 13x6 prop nowadays. That's more efficient.

so what does yours weigh. the stock size is around 1400. im trying out printing the tail in lw pla and i saved 31 grams just on the tail

It's the 125% upscaled Big Bobber. Weighs about 3000g. 😉

My normal sized BB weighs about 1600g and flies great with it.
