SUch fluid animations, lovely. I long for more 2D Abe's Oddysee games now. The moment where you left the factory and went into the alien wilderness was AMAZINGLY done and I longed for more.

A Boy and His Blobcat. Actually the blobcat reminds me a lot of Pebble from the webcomic Amissio. Not exact, of course, but it's fun to imagine.

5:28 I instinctively pulled my legs when I heard the crunch. As someone who once broke a leg by jumping off a tree... that sh*t gave me flashbacks. Also I wish the cat was cuter or had a different mechanic I mean it's a Inky Blob-Cat maybe it gains other abilities, smear grabbable surfaces, it could morph into different tools/Animals when it did stuff... make it stand out more.

I usually hate pedantry, but I can't resist, on this occasion. The impact crater being as deep and wide as it is, the trees and surrounding structures for a much wider radius should have been flattened, and burning.

If we're being pedantic, this is assuming earth-like conditions of atmosphere, ground composition, the material properties of the trees, etc. Which, considering the presence of sapient blob cats, about the only thing we can safely assume about the situation is that it is not on earth.

Exactly. I was taken aback by the presentation at first, but then the game play started to wear thin. This is a decent demo, but they need to work from here and add some gameplay...or make it a short concentrated experience, and the puzzles better be bangers. Reminds me of, in a good way, Limbo and (that other limbo one).

Beautiful. Another world was way more cinematic and "laser gamey". Every scene was entirely unique. This one feels more like Prince of persia (and contemporary ones like limbo, I take it, but I never tried it), as it tends to be more (needlessly, for a pc game, acceptable for a console game) repetitive, in giving room after room of the same mechanical puzzle reset in different ways. The encounter with the alien invader would have happened in the 3rd screen, in Chahi's masterpiece. Truly, AW is like Monna Lisa, for games.
