I bought a Venus hub. It wouldn't engage straight from the factory. I both degreased the clutch and replaced the o-ring, and tightened both cone nuts to the point they’re almost stuck, but nothing has ever worked. When I’m standing physically on the bike, the hub is not engaging. Otherwise, it’s doing it, but without any weight on the bike. So I had to buy another hub and chose a Shadow freecoaster on sale on The Source, and it's working flawlessly

There might be a faulty part, do you still have the hub?

@@nightriderbmxshop6768 Yes, I do. I asked for advice from a friend of mine with 10+ years of experience in BMX. He’s been riding a BSD Revolution for the past few years. He told me that the engaging issue has happened to him only a few times, and after minimal maintenance, it all worked out

@@nightriderbmxshop6768 I’ve made a recording while degreasing all the internal components and can forward it to you if necessary. I had a clue as soon as I unwrapped the new hub from its original packaging a month ago, but I paid it no mind. The driver didn't make any sound, it no-sounded like a freecoaster, while instead, it should have sounded like a cassette, which it does if I don't mount the driver (see video for proof)

@@nolimitscoasterfra9483 yes please send a link or the video itself. The cassette sound is a great way to know if the hub is working as it should, and no sound means it's not...

Yes it's also available as complete wheel with th new Varanyak rim :)
