As many of you have requested, in this video I show you how we planned this epic 3000+ nm mile journey from Homer Alaska all the way through the Canadian Rockies, back into the lower 48 and over to Oshkosh for our Extreme Makeover: Panel Edition.
This new series is just starting, and we've got a lot in store for you. Of course we'll take you on the massive journey flying from Homer, Alaska all the way to Oshkosh, Wisconsin. There are a lot of challenges along the way, flying in the winter time. And of course, dealing with things in Canada.
It all takes a lot of planning and execution, not only paperwork crossing boardings, but also flying in winter. This is quite a remote route so we'll need to have serious equipment on board in case of emergency.
Then, there's a the whole panel upgrade. It's gonna be AWESOME! We will bring this airplane into the 21st century with avionics from Garmin, PS Engineering and in partnership with NewView Technologies. The panel upgrade process is incredibly interesting. As pilots, I can say we have no idea how complex things are behind the scenes. These avionics are amazing!
So, come follow along! It's going to be an awesome series to follow, upgrading this Cessna 172.
