Thanks for watching! What do you use to plan and manage projects? Any questions about the template I made? Happy to help!

I've been trying to figure out a way to manage multiple projects on the same page, so I can better understand what item may impact something else. I can see adding some color coding to your ideas here. Hmm. I see some experimentation in my future. :) Thanks for sharing.

I'm a college student that has both personal projects and volunteering projects and this type of timeline project planner is going to be so useful for the yearly overview of my projects. Thanks a lot!

Thanks for showing how you're planning longer-term projects over the course of the month. That gave me a great idea on how to do this for my own projects and backburner tasks. Again, really love the videos and content, even keeping it real to the end!

on the timeline I would color in Saturdays and Sundays from the top of the page to the bottom. It would help me visualize the weeks. I do that for my project planning layouts.

This is an awesome idea I may use for multi month projects, and then maybe I’d change the timeline to spam weeks instead of days. Thanks!

I like the idea of this. Paper and pen and having it in front of my eyes vs digital will definitely be more effective for me

That layout is nice because it doesn't take up too much space on your monthly layout, which if you're tracking several projects, will fill up quickly.

This timeline is great! My projects involve teams, budget thus the milestones are sometimes pushed back or if I am lucky gets moved ahead! So I would use those sticker dots that can be moved around the timeline to track progress against plans and adjust accordingly.

omg I love it! I think it's a great idea. I'm starting my project layout right now. I need to change this spread a little bit for myself but it's important to focus to do project in one month. I tried a project overview for few months and this don't work good for me. In May I have to write down my big student's project and your layout is my key for success (in my opinion :)). Your videos show that bujos aren't just pretty but useful too. Thank you!

Hi, Matt, since you posted this video 2 years ago, I’m curious: do you still use this for mapping out projects? If so, how has it evolved since then? If not, what are you doing now?

I use a Hobonichi Cousin planner for work, and I put my main, combined project schedule on the month-on-2-pages layout. I have a lot going on and am scheduling time for multiple departments, so that Master Calendar is still important for me. I like your layout for individual projects, though. The general template you’re using is very similar to what you can get out of Office Timeline (a PowerPoint add-in that lets you import date information from an Excel spreadsheet and display it as a timeline with milestones and tasks).

Matt Ragland well I wrote down in columns the goals I want to achieve in May, 5 to be exact, then for each I wrote a plan and tasks, then I did it like you, broke down the tasks for the weeks of the month and put them in the daily timelime, I didn't like it at first but now I do cause you can see everything at a glance, so its less stressful. Let's see how it goes.

I loved your template!! It looks very useful and saves a lot of space, I'll try it :) Maybe I'm little late, and maybe you already have a video explaining my question, but asking anyway: How do you connect this project with your index session and with your calendar (is it a 'global calendar', or you keep watching all the calendars [ supposing that you work in more than one project] ?hehe) Thank you for the video (the channel actually)!!
