Just came back from Ireland. it was my first time there. We stayed in Galway, which I love. We made a day trip to the Cliffs of Moher. The Cliffs are stunningly breathtaking. I've never seen anything like it. Ireland is a beautiful country and the people are very friendly.

Just went there today and it was perfect. I lucked out and had 100% visibility. It's pretty much like they described except that the store in the visitors center isn't very wheelchair friendly. Lots of isles and if you go during peak time like summer, too many people. Some of those trails are very steep and you'd need a very powerful motorized chair to make it up and also a very reliable break because even walking down can make it seem like you're running down. They do try to make it accessible, but it's not 100% accessible. My advice, stay away during the summer. Go off season and avoid the "mad rush" or you'll miss on some great solo photo ops.

If you’re there when the weather is good I def recommend driving up to Doolin and take the cliffs of moher cruise. It’s extra amazing to see them from the sea.

@@mouchiecat1 I went there in the winter and it was windy and spitting rain, but I absolutely loved it, I even made a video from the trip there and put it up on my channel...cheers!

Hi, Thanks for posting this, I am planning to visit during mid May 2014, Could you please give some advises about the weather, what to bring, clothes and shoes. Also is it safe there, I mean pick pocketing etc. Appreciate your help, GK

the weather is unpredictable so cross fingers and pray for a clear sky.a warm jacket, a raincoat and non slippery shoes should be fine.

Overhyped its not even in the top ten highest cliffs in ireland.However most of the others are not as accessible for example the cliffs of croghaun are only viewable from the sea or a ling hike and slieve league though visible from the car park getting to the car park is a different story being in donegal and a remote part of donegal along narrow roads often falling steeply at one side.
@r.crompton22864 жыл бұрын
clay fada2 The Cliffs of Moher extend approx. 650 feet above the water at a slope of 80 to 90 degrees. What distinguishes it from most other cliffs in Ireland is that straight drop off. Slieve League though much, much higher lacks that degree of steepness. I doubt if any section along its cliff face reaches 70 degrees.

I've been to 35 countries around the world and the Cliffs of Moher at sunset easily beats 90% of the things I've seen. It was stunningly magical, intimate and profound. A must do imho. I've been several times, including with a group tour and a hike, since. But those private sunsets were incredible.

SIX EUROS?..............Steeper than the Cliffs themselves..........Thanks but NO thanks.
@EinkOLED9 жыл бұрын
GBPaddling It's worth it. Most people pay a lot more than that on the journey alone. Don't let 6 measly euros stop you, otherwise you'll miss out on a lot of things in life.
@karlmartin73845 жыл бұрын
you don't have to pay
@KK-ve6vo4 жыл бұрын
The prices are ridiculous tho..€10 per head when trying to enter the car park!!! €9 for students... I’m sorry but this is a crazy amount of money to be paying... all we wanted was to see the view not buy the cliff experience.. enjoy fooling and milking tourists🤙

Are you seriously charging for the telescopes having already charged people to see a natural attraction? Was there nobody from Clare who could have narrated this? The girl who did it would sound perfectly at home in the Dublin Mountains, but Clare? And this isn't local bias, I'm from Cork. It just annoys me that local accents are being gradually eroded. That's probably most true in Dublin itself where a working class Dublin accent has become incresingly rare. The ability to make oneself understood is important. I know because I Iived and worked abroad for many years. So did many people from Clare. They can speak as clearly as the next man/woman but their intonation would be a little different and more authentic for a Clare attraction.
