Oh gosh Jaclynn Liz gave you so many awesome Hoya cuttings and you are so good at propagating all of them. I am now happy that it is finally warm where I live and you wanted me to remind you in the spring when it was warm so you could send me the Hoya chelsea cuttings and you also said this other plant called Sarah Pagia Sanders Sonica, I will be so happy to get those plants or whatever you want to send me, I love seeing these videos and also seeing David. I am wishing you both a blessed rest of your day, sending love and hugs, bye! 😂🤗🥰😻💜💜💜

15:54 My thoughts exactly ok why I won’t want to put the Hoya in water. Sphag def help them grow more soil like roots. Sounds like we have very similar growing preferences. Enjoyed your video. Thanks🤗🪴🤗🪴

I find plain perlite works best. Moss leaves room for fungi when left on the roots, and it puts stress on the plant when moss clinging to the roots are forcibly removed. Perlite clinging to the tender young roots gets planted with the cutting.😅

This is what I use. I just started getting into Hoyas. I use a small plastic bin and make it a prop box. I have an irina and Nova cutting in there right now and they are making roots! I was so terrified I was going to rot it.

I love propagating with stratum! I use a clear plastic cup with perlite filling 1/4 of the cup, stratum on top with the cutting. I fill my reservoir with water just covering the perlite part. I do run water over the cup once in a while to keep the stratum moist. Don't let it dry out! Fb also has a group with helpful info. Hope it helps!

The cutting looks like it might be a sipitangensis. It sunstresses a beautiful deep maroon but without the contrasting veining of a Rebecca or obscura. So I guess you’ll know for sure after it’s got some light!

Hi! I’m just now finding you 🤩…and am definitely going to follow on ig and all the things. I’m curious how moist you keep these cups. I plan on doing this and keeping them in the my Ikea greenhouse. So I guess my question is around watering or how moist I should keep them. Thanks in advance for your time 😊

You CAN! Sphagnum moss, and humidity, and tiny. I wet the moss and squeeze it out, put it in a container with a lid, sometimes with holes, sometimes not, and I let it go, like for a month, lol they will do their thing they just are so easy to crash and burn. I had propagated a bunch of SOP and I finally brought myself to plant it into soil and the next day it got so hot out it scorched the entire plant and it died. Literally 2 months of propagating and new growth galore, now literally there’s nothing salvageable 😅
