Digger attachment theft continues to plague the construction Industry as thieves look to make a fast buck at the expense of legitimate businesses.
Covert theft recovery tracking systems from Automatrics are one plant security measure that has proven successful in fighting back.
This latest plant security recovery video clearly demonstrates the power of Automatrics tracking systems and the dedication of their operational staff who just would not give up even when the stolen hammer was hidden not only from GPS view, but also then moved off the mobile network.
The Metropolitan police and CID also played their part to obtain an emergency search warrant from 24/7 duty magistrates, meaning that any future arrest was more likely to result in a conviction at court.
Follow the 12 hour recovery operation conducted on the 14 June 2016 to see what professional theft recovery services can achieve in the most challenging of situations.
You can purchase this system here www.trackersecurity.co.uk/

My father and I were builders. We were building a home for the owner of a local building supply company. We arrived one morning only to find all of our tools stolen. The thief cut a hole in the wall, reached in unlocked the door. They came back a week later and stole the replacement tools. I spent the night at the site with a shotgun up until the night before the second theft. Found out it was one of the employees. He also stole all the cabinets for a veteran clinic we were building. Before he went to trial he was shot and killed for trying to steal another mans wife.

I feel for the tradies over there in the UK. Such a massive market one train ride away and the stolen gear just disappears. Here in NZ we're bordered by thousands of miles of ocean and a population the size of the British Midlands. Burglary rings don't reach quite the epic level of organised crime as over there. Yet still the sight of this container full of gear reminds me of all the gear I've had stolen. Most recently a full size trailer and about 8 grands worth of tools that I expect one day will turn up in a raid like this. NZ is too small to hide stuff forever.

On this job we did have more feedback from the police. Their was a second container rented by the same person also stuffed full of stolen equipment and the guy was arrested. Unfortunately unlike on the high seas we are unable to claim any salvage, not that we would want to .......but it would have been great had the police passed our details to some the owners who they did manage to trace down. Sure the bike owners would have wanted to called us .....they must have been well chuffed to get their bikes back :)

You should get some "recovery assisted by mtrack system" cardboard or plastic tags each with a unique identifier code and long zip tie them to every item, you don't damage evidence like stickers, your making police / soco life easier, quality marketing that'll lead back to asset managers and recovery agents and can be tracked. For the idea I want Guinness or more vids please :)

Get one of these small 12v 3" angle grinders, they cost like 30 bucks with charger and battery and disc and Im highly impress how well they cut even hardened metal. i.imgur.com/w3kITdC.jpg when I compare them to 4" full-blown maingrid angle grinders. just have one of those in the back of your car, the only con would be if the police is quite hysteric who and what that shall help in such cases.. congrats with the find.. solid work..

I know this is quite old now but i had my van broken into 3 times over a period of 18 months back in 2015 onwards and the first time they only stole big electric tools then 2nd time smaller power tools and 3rd time what ever they could get there hands on, what we need in this country is a form of law that states first time you get caught. You get fined etc and after that if you ever get caught again you should loose a hand or both. Let’s see how many times you steel after that, and i never got any of my tools back the police gave me a crime number and that was it.

What is a “breaker”? I think we must call it something else in the US?
@Nailzy1985
@Nailzy1985 4 жыл бұрын
It's a Jackhammer / Pneumatic drill. Breakers in the UK for construction / plant are usually handheld with a separate pneumatic pump feeding the actual Jackhammer itself. The system as a whole is just referred to as a "breaker" :)

I ask something about all of these. You are pretty much solving crimes. You find stolen goods quickly and get the police involved as needed. Why, however, are you always waiting a good amount of time. You are there and have fairly well closed a case for them. Are they truly that occupied or understaffed that they cannot get to you sooner? I would think that closing a robbery would attract them quickly. I once waited 6 hours for the Belgian Gendarmes who told me they could not help because, as a foreign soldier with NATO, I had to call the international desk at the NATO base. Those police arrived in 15 minutes and I take 20 to get to the base so they rushed right over in spite of the fact all was over, my house tossed and emptied of nothing my American NTSC electronics that I'm sure brought them nothing at all. The town in which I live suffers the most petty theft within 400 meters of the police station and they can rarely get to the scene in less than an hour or two. I have no earthly idea why but I'm suspicious that they just don't feel pressed to respond to robbery. Just let it pass and insurance will take care of the victim. They arrive in the morning to take damage photos and assure the insurer that it was really a break in, measure the height of the scars on the door and head off to wherever they go to hide. It seems to be a part of the socialist system that places little pressure on the system to do better. If I had anything worth stealing, I would engage private security and put trackers on what was neccessary. Anything that could be stolen has more insurance value than real current value (I have good insurance for the home) and if anyone can steal my aquarium, a mid level Mercedes in value, then they deserve to have it. Its four tons and loaded wih fish and coral so that would be a sight to see. Thinking it through and seeing my thoughts in writing, I'm even more convinced that its a matter of letting the insurance deal with it as opposed to chasing down SOBs all night long. Anyway, your videos and an after dinner coffee last evening have kept me up all night long. I'm rambling from lack of sleep. Maybe I will act drunk (don't drink but can act) and call old girlfriends in the USA when its 0200 over there. Anyhow, I really enjoyed watching your videos and its great to see people get back their property for which they worked to pay. And keep on making videos and I'll keep drinking coffee!

Again a question. Do you know where the container was intended to go? I'm guessing as a land sea container another load for Eastern Europe, which may mean it passes right by my village. I have to imagine that a shitload of stolen goods from the UK would pass through Belgium's roads as its still the easiest port of entry. Placing import duty tax on purchases from abroad would take priority over trafficking that is not directly affecting the local area. Hmm, one may think that I am not overly impressed with the effectiveness of local law enforcement. But I must admit they do some really good medical care here for prices 10 times less than the USA. 36 hours no sleep and still watching crime videos.
