Gaura! I’m the planter chairwomen for our Garden Clubs downtown planters. I chose Gaura for the center, red Solina begonias for the fuller and licorice plant for the spiller. They are looking great! I’m surprised that nobody else had ever heard of Gaura. I love it!!!

When I had a garden, Guara was one of my favorite plants. Loved the white and in the breeze the stems of flowers looked like butterflys. If I wanted them to spread I would let the baby plants thrive. Thank you Cory for being You,, , an enjoyable,, knowledgeable and awesome man to listen to....

Hi Cory. I’m in SE MI and have the same orb. It’s best to place it into the container FIRST, adjust the bars for even spacing, place it firmly in the soil (pushing down) and THEN add the plants. Hope that helps. I learned that from someone who uses these all the time. Happy Planting 😀

The Guara combo was my favorite as it's simplicity is stunning! Thank you for providing different options to those who do not have easy access to the bigger brand name nurseries and growers. Sharing you open and honest feedback about plant choices and recommendations has been refreshing. Hello from NJ 🪴

I think I need to add guara to my shopping list. I'm focusing on pink, magenta, purple & white flowers for my pots. My Mom had a passion flower vine in Northern Iowa. It was beautiful on her deck. Then she overwinter it in their unheated basement where it went dormant. She had it for several years.

I have grown Gaura on and off for many years both in the garden and in pots, I love them. Yes, It does pay to check what you grow with them in a pot, last year I put ‘ Cherry pie ‘ with the deep pink dark leaved variety and they looked stunning for a week or two,but then one would die off then come back just as the other one de-flowered itself 😂 love both of them, though not together.❤

Every time I see a passion flower I have to smile. Here in Mississippi they grow wild and are called maypop. We throw or step on the fruits because they "pop". My mom says you can eat the fruit after they turn yellow but I've never tried.

Hi Corey, I'm pretty new to your channel. I'm enjoying your content, This is my 4th year growing plants. Yes petunias all can grow differently. I have a big 19 inch pot. My neighbor gave me a petunias with a X pattern just had one in the pot. Filled the whole pot then spilled over to the ground before I trimmed it. I'm zone 6 about 3 miles from lake Erie. I agree with you less plants in a pot are better. Yes there are so many haters out there, just think all of us who appreciate your information ❤❤😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉

Hi Corey :) Can't tell you how much I LOVE your content; thanks for taking the time on this busy weekend! Especially love your videos on recipe variations. You asked a question about seed petunias in a couple of other videos. I'm trying petunia from seed for the first time his year. The variety is "silver vein trailing", it's a silvery pink one. So far, I am loving it. Yes, I deadhead it every morning, but I love puttering in the garden in the morning. It's vigor and plant health is awesome. I bought some purple veined petunias at Wally world to go with them and mine are twice as nice, lol. Wally is the only place for me to buy plants locally and I've had consistently terrible results trying to get PW plants shipped here, both perennial and annual so I have given up on them and either grow from seed or buy from Wally. Gardening in zone 8a New Mexico.

Corey, than you so much for all tthe informaion you pack into each video. I is very practical and you have saved me money too. I do want to tell you a passion flower story. When I first moved to coasal North Carolina I first saw a gorgeous passion flower. It was so aggressive that it worked its way up the electric pole and onto the lines. The property owners were so proud of it - the electric company not so much. One day they pulled up in their truck, put up the bucket and removed he passion flower from the lines and the pole. While it was growing it was truly breathtaking.

I purchased some deep pink gaura 4 weeks ago for my 18" containers. I hadn't seen it before and was not familiar with it, but something kept drawing me back to it so I decided to take a chance with it. Mine came in 4" pots and only have one flower spike per plant. *How can I make them fuller without destroying the plant?* The containers are dark pink gaura, crimson coleus, dark pink geranium, dark pink green-leaf wax begonia, and variegated trailing vinca. I under-planted the pots leaving space for them to grow (fill in).
@UpNorthGardenMIАй бұрын
Your gaura should fill in… one month ago, the one I planted looked as you described. They grow best with lots of sun and consistent water.

@@UpNorthGardenMI Corey, I was so excited -- my Gaura finally started branching out with multiple stems, and then a deer came last night and stripped all the buds and flowers off all the stems 😢 He ate all the tiger lily buds that were just about to open, and the daylily flowers which had just opened, and the canna lily leaves, and the calibrachoa. Got it all on the security camera. First time in the five years I have lived in my apartment that deer ate my flowers. Heartbroken. .... and the rabbits - eating all the sweet alyssum, lantana, Superbena verbena, dusty miller and argyranthemums, which I though were rabbit resistant. My petunias and upright vinca are holding up so far 😁
