I’ve seen your disc combination seeder implement now in several videos. Looks custom made, how do you like it? Looks very convenient for food plot usage.

How many years in a row are you putting brassica in the same field? I’ve heard of issues with planting brassica too many years in a row, is this accurate? A parasite or something like that can be created.

Hey .. we try not to plant brassicas back to back .. it’s best to rotate clover or beans or something that will fix nitrogen…. You could frost seed a cheap annual clover into the spent brassicas and then disc that in the following year if you want to replant brassicas that would keep weeds down provide some organic matter and fix some nitrogen …

It's a custom disk, harrow, seed box combo we created. Also has a receiver for a cultipacker, very useful and efficient. We might do a video on it sometime.

At 2:16, what kind of seed spreader is that? I used an Earthway for my first plot but not 100% sure I was a fan. The one you’re using looks like it’s nice.

I tried broadcasting brassicas into beans and i thought they didn’t have enough time to grow but I think the farmer plants beans kinda late.

Yeah you won’t get the large bulbs but the small greens are super palatable and attractive to deer!!

@@TheWhitetailGroup gotcha, I think if the farmer planted on a normal schedule I could do it but since he plants so late the beans don’t yellow until way later (blessing and a curse). Anything else you recommend? I thought about doing winter rye

@@melvinsacromentoe rye will germinate late with cool weather I’d try it!! If it’s corn buy it back and mow it if it is legal in your state!!
