Miss Wanda you are one hard working woman. Most people don't realize just how much work goes into preparing a bed correctly. The resulting crop will make it all worthwhile. As for Mr. Danny's gun these people have obviously never been face to face with a rattlesnake. When I was a child we killed several just yards from our front door. My mother kept a loaded gun handy just for snakes.

My dad mixed carrot seed with radish seed. The radishes popped up quickly and marked the row, then matured quickly and were gone in good time to leave expansion space for the carrots.

I used a regular 100 watt lightbulb that is at normal height in the garage converted to growing building. All the seeds are setting on regular table height around the room. Garage is 20 x 15 and holds about 20 tables with 4 in center and rest along side the walls. And have bumper seedlings yearly. What i don't use I give to neighbors n kids to start their own plot of heaven. That's it. Been doing this way for over 32 years.

Awesome guys !!!! I am so excited...we are on our second day of gentle rain !!!! Was worried I wouldn't be able to plant any winter rye as a green manure bcause it was so dry the seeds would not have germinated. Winter rye allows us here in the north to have a green manure crop to till in a couple weeks before garden time. It tills in easy and breaks down rapidly. Have some carrots an onions planted in the greenhouse floor....time will tell on success.

With all the carrot's from this spring I would think you wouldn't want to see another carrot for a year. LOL Up here in northern MI we're prepping for cold weather. Brought in ALL the tomatoes, eggplant's and peas. Still have green bean's, navy, black, Mayflower and 1500 year old cave = bean's to get in by Friday. Then carrot's. Will have to cover the cool weather stuff at night. Our fall's are pretty much only 2 to 4 week's long any more. Then snow ! Didn't get the high tunnel/green house done yet. God willing, we'll get it done by snow fall. Thank's for all the great info/video's. Stay safe and healthy. God bless

With all the storms this year you don't have to apologize, we fully understand. I think that plastic seed holder with a clear top would be good to have. It seems that if carrots are planted in a separate plot they do better. I like the idea of planting, watering and covering for 6-7 days will have to try that.

Hey Danny, you seem to like Hawaiian seeds, so I have some Hawaiian onion seeds I'd be happy to give you. The variety is Awahia and it was derived from Red Creole by the University of Hawaii. They are basically an improved Red Creole, a little larger, more resistant to bolting, very tasty, and they store for at least 6 months. Probably longer, but we eat them faster than that! Anyway, I'm just down the road in Long Beach and I'd be happy to drop some seeds the mail if you can give me an address to send them to. You'd have them in a day or two. Nothing wanted in return, just one gardener reaching out to another gardener.

Hey Danny! I just asked you a question in an old carrot video of yours then I found this new vid. My bad... My question is this....I'm in NWArkansas, zone 7a/b. I didn't realize you could grow carrots over winter and get a crop in the spring. I was under the impression they would go to seed, so YEAH I want to plant fall carrots and see what kind of spring crop I'd get. In the past, I have tried planting carrots and beets only to get the seedlings eaten by pests. Since you're a zone higher than me, do you think planting my carrots in late September would help with the pests problem? It's still fairly hot here in September and usually very warm through October, so I think heat and light-wise, it should work and they'd be established well enough before winter. What do you think?

What’s with the gun? I never thought planting carrots could be so dangerous. Wouldn’t want a bad onion sneaking up from behind

Jesus Christ saves from sin. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Romans 10:9-10. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. 1John 5: 10-13 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. ................

Seems like a waste to have to go back and thin out the carrots. It’s difficult to transplant them.

GM. I'm freaked out that I had a dream/nightmare with Danny in it and it involved a gun and Danny getting shot. Note 2 things , 1 I've never had a dream involving this channel before and haven't watched your videos in a few days. 2. Your wearing a firearm. (Wich I'm ok with). I'm not even gonna try and figure that out. Just saying that is just freaking alarming.oh this dream was last night btw.
