Planting Corn! - John Deere 4440 & 7200 6RN

6 жыл бұрынOn May 6th 2018 we finally started to plant this years corn crop with the new to us John Deere 7200 6 row narrow. We are not using liquid fertilizer this year.

iowadairyboys if I had a list of the worst videos I watched this would be at the top of the list! Get rid of that ugly 4440 and trade it in for 4640

Don't need a 4640. Don't need that much power to run a bagger, planter, hay rake, or a TMR mixer...

Does the planter not have a vacuum guage? Our has a guage, from 0-15 we usually run it on 5.

Are you not getting double seed placement cuz it sound like the vac is gonna fly into piece anytime

Im asking you if your getting that, of course you don't want that. If you are getting that it's cuz you have the vac reved up to far and it holds on to a secund seed!!

The book and the mechanics say you have to run way higher vacuum than 5... Plus this planter has the double eliminator

Most dairy guys plant only corn for silage not much for combine in the netherlands

So you can line the hood emblem with it on the next pass and keep 30 inch rows between planter swaths.

I like this channel a lot man. This farm is awesome, this 4440 is a piece of beauty ahahaha really like it! Congrats! Just a question, in my country we don´t have this planter, but why do you have 2 boxes for seed?

One is insecticide. We dont have to use it because we use GMO seed.

You might consider removing most of those front weights. I don't think there is a need for all that weight and it is just creating compaction.

Kyle lievens , no need for beans on a dairy farm. Too many beans planted this year anyway.
