Today I'm planting six Invincibelle® Ruby hydrangeas in the hydrangea room! The snapdragon cuttings are fully rooted and there are lots of beautiful early spring blooms to see on our mini garden tour. I hope you have a lovely Easter!

Wishing you a happy Easter! What a gorgeous array of bulbs! I love how you are creating a natural meadow with daffodils....it will be a show stopper for passers by. And those pink hydrangeas will make such a pretty statement against your hummingbird arbors. Everytime I see your garden, I always learn something new. I wonder just where Dr Seus got his inspiration.....you are probably correct, in that he must have found it in nature. Love the daffodil that fades to a light peach colour. Look forward to more surprises in your next video. Jo, from New Zealand (coming into autumn now and have planted many irises and a few new tulips).

I think you would really love Thalia daffodils, they are all white (slight yellow in the very center) with multiple blooms at the top of long flower stalks, blue green strappy foliage, and are fragrant with a nice scent. The flower shape itself is very elegant, more beautiful than most other daffodils. I have a bunch blooming in my yard right now that I planted in the fall... instant favorite!!

Danielle, I love the Invincibelle Ruby hydrangeas. I have one that I planted as a quart-size shrub 3 years ago, and it was glorious last year. I'd rather plant smaller plants (I'm not getting any younger) and watch them grow. Besides, it's much easier for me to dig a smaller planting hole, and it's way easier on my pocketbook! I hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend too! ~Margie

I always buy quart size! No big shovel holes, and they do seem to grow up fast! All so, not to be negative about our garden centers but I find many times a “gallon” pots have quart size plants👎🏻 They charge by pot size. When planting you can tell they just put that smaller plant in the large pot because of root size and all the unrooted dirt! Everyone should make note of this.

To me those imperial crown fritillaria smell like cat pee! (Not like what you are thinking of ha ha). Definitely don't plant near the house, under a window, or near a patio where you often sit... and for sure not for use as a cut flower ha ha, so stinky! But hey, it keeps the deer from eating them, and I personally think they look really cool.

Hi. I failed at starting some cosmos this Spring. Do the small seedlings always look leggy? I guess I struggled at knowing when to pot them up. The small starts where flopping over and I thought potting them up would help stabilize them. But none of them survived 😔.

Hi Angie! I will do my best to help. Are your lights 2-3 inches from the top of the seedlings? Keeping the lights low will help your seedlings grow low and stocky.

@@NorthlawnFlowerFarm yes, they were about 2 in. I kept the lights at the height of the humidity dome which is just under 2 in. I started them in smaller cells, though. Not your standard 6 cell size. More like the 72 cell size. They were the Xanthos type from Botanical Interest. The stems were leggy and curvy. I also removed the dome once they emerged.
