Great video mate…. I’ve just painted me own house full of pebbledash. The thing is a proper graft whatever you do with it. Be it painting it or knocking it off or going over it haha! 👍👍

When using kzp and ruling use a serrated edge or serrated spat, rules off much better, then close with a normal spat. Let it crust over and use a i bar to scrap back with and then close with diamond float and sponge float, works a treat. Them 35kg bags are a killer getting up the scaff ain’t they 😅

Funniest video ever, pure comedy and great content as usual Blaine. Had to watch it twice, dramatic music, Hollywood production. How many renderers does it take to powerfloat, 2 apparently.😂👍

With rain hitting the render, how waterproof is it? Did you have to carry on with a waterproofing because after the render went up you watered it to 'float it', so I'm assuming water has to soak in. I remember doing this using the old sand cement method only to hide the brickwork condition. Thats possibly why i would purchase a property which has had it EVEN THOUGH it looks lovely after. Nice job.

If I were to render over an external painted pebble dash, what should I coat it with please? I've heard you paint water and PVA glue on it first. I'm wanting to put tiles on it. Thanks in advance. Great vid.

OCR all day long. This stuff tears to easily when ruling which agitated me a lot to be honest. OCR is a lot smoother.
@DoraWillExploreHer
@DoraWillExploreHer Жыл бұрын
@@PlasteringForBeginners Agreed, OCR is a game changer and saves an entire day for the rendering due to being able to put 2 coats in one day. I also scratch the first coat, belt and braces. OCR does not go off as quick as regular mixed render, giving you a bit more time.
