JD, I just found your channel a few months ago and I love watching your videos. Short unimportant question: you mention that you use lighter fluid to dissolve the gummed-up goo. I believe the fluid used in wick-style lighters is mostly naptha. Have you ever tried Coleman camping fuel? I used to use it to clean up headstocks from old watchmaker's lathes, and it works well. I don't honestly know, but it might be another naptha-based compound.

Good day JD, I too am the proud owner of a very expensive / resilient Swiss plastic stick. I am curious aboot (Canadian for about) how much material you took off the balance cock holder "tower" and did you also have to take material off the threaded stem it rides on?

lloks like someone changed the one screw that holds the jewel in place, so jewel is cocked..
