This kit was purchased from @TandemAutomotive and this video is not sponsored in any way. This is my install video because the kit does NOT COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS!!!! Watch this video before you install to make sure you get it done correctly.

What about on the front ?what size of lift you installed? I have plans on lifting my 2016 sequoia platinum and put spacer.

Great video man!!!! I have been waiting for something like this to come out. I currently have the Revtec 2" spacer lift with airbag adjustment and the rear bounces all over the place, I had been looking at the Dobinson 2.5 lift kit and converting the rear to springs until I ran across this video!!!! Do you know what you total lift is for the rear after install?

The total lift is dependant on what tabs you use. I went with the medium tabs and it's roughly about a 2 inch lift. We had the big boy tabs on there before and it was WAY TOO HIGH. But you can also do micro adjustments as well.

I have a 2019 platinum and want a softer ride than the OEM ride because I have a bad back and have to drive on a rough paved road for about 15 miles all the time. My questions are #1 Did the eibachs provide a more cushiony ride? # 2 Can the shocks be installed without the 2 inch tandem lift or by adjusting the OEM adjsutment arm and tabs? I would like to install the Dobinson Mrr 3 way adustables on the rear and probably go with custiom adjustible kings with a lesser coil spring rate where I can adjust the fronts and rears for regular driving. Anything that you can add to this would highly appreciated.

Yes you can totally installed the eibachs without the lift. The Eibach shocks are essentially an HD Tacoma rear shock but they do ride softer than most paired with the factory airbag. This is an experimental set up and Eibach doesn’t sell it for a sequoia just yet so you will have a hard time sourcing it.

The pucks are literally a dream. Probably the strongest part of that entire rear suspension. The floor mats are toyota oe all weather mats but we have switched over to weathertech for more protection.

What wheel and tire size are you running? Also how are those shocks working out? I'm about to go bilstein 5100s and just extend with a bracket. Thanks for the decent vid! Truck looks good!

I actually swapped them out for Bilsteins myself. They were valved too soft for the beast of the sequoia BUT it was still an improvement over stock. Wheels and tires are 17x8 titan 7 +0 tires are 35x12.50x17 Recon Grapplers. Best tires I've ever owned.

I order these part number shocks for my platinum. Same truck, but the upper mounting shock bushing inside diameter is way too big for the bolt. Is that why you have the spacers in there or?

Great video man. I got my pucks two weeks ago, just need to find the time to install. Few questions; I noticed you didn't put the shocks with the boot at the bottom. Was that for any particular reason? Also, before this install, what lever position were you running in the back? I'm assuming that's all you had going on back there, right?

Yes indeed. I had the lever in the back with no bags at max height. The rear still sagged a lot. The socks on the eibach shocks call for them to be at the top. No idea why but that's what the instructions call for.

I guess i missed the part about the special shock spacers. Trying to put the eibach shocks on right now. Think i got a bushing made to make them work for tonight. Any chsnce you have a part number for the spacer? Awesome video btw

That pulls up an extension. I'll look at the site and see if there is something else but I need the spacers for the top to take up the gap and keep the the shock from sliding side to side

What adapters did you use for the shocks?? I don’t imagine they come with the shocks.

They didn't, great assumption. I ended up using Bilstein 5100 adapters and actually I'm running those shocks now because they just give me a little better ride quality than the Eibachs in the rear. The Eibach's up front are AMAZING.

@@CoolGuyClub Cool, I ended up getting the Bilstein shocks as well, and returned the Eibachs. But what Eibachs do you have in the front? They're MEATY! And how much of a lift do you have them set to? I currently have 2.5" spacers in the front. Saving up for some like yours.

Do you get an error light with shocks since they are not the electronic dampening? I am original owner of 2012 Sequoia Platinum with 290,000 KM or 174,000 miles for my amerincan friends. In Canada, Toyota OEM shock for Platinum is $1050.

First gen is solid axle so no. But good news is lifting your truck is easier than a second gen.

I’m not positive but I think the frame horn has a massive crack on the lower A arm. Might want to check that out but great video.

Great eye. It’s not a crack it’s overlapped metal for rigidity in that section.

@@andrewcrowell1265 The 2nd gen Sequoia's are tanks. We have an 08 platinum that is pretty much like new with 222,xxx mi on it now. Bought it in '18 and is my favorite vehicle to date. Updated to morimoto xb headlights with amber drl's and new jvc 10.5" head unit for the Apple car play/android auto. I feel like I could drive this truck another 30 years. Sincerely

No worries. The time code really helped. That's not a crack, it's an extra gusset on the factory mount. They overlap two pieces of metal there for strength.

Great video! My son and I installed the pucks on my 2015 Platinum two weeks ago, it was slow going, but we took our time and it's perfect. Jonathan at Tandom offroad was awesome to work with, we spoke on the phone a couple times. For the rear shocks I went with the 2.5" adjustable Elka shocks that I also purchased from Tandom.
