@@CoolGuyClub i’m learning a lot from you. Getting ready to pull the trigger on buying a sequoia. Just trying to figure out if I want generation one or two…. I will be new to the Overland world.

Short list: Gen 1 is more capable off-road due to the solid rear axle but less space and less power. Gen 2 is less capable but has more power and way more space. It’s also way more family friendly.

What kind of tires does your sequoia have? I’m curious to know the name of the tires, wheels and size, and if you had to lift your sequoia to have those big wheels on? 👍🏼

Help, I had to replace the shocks all around and did not want to get the light for the leveling but the shocks I bought from E-Bay did not fit the sensor. I went ahead and added a two inch spacer to it because if the sensor was not going to work might as well install the spacer. How can I bypass the front sensors? I like watching you video's. Me and the wife sit back and watch.
@CoolGuyClub
@CoolGuyClub Күн бұрын
I never had to bypass my front sensors. I just unplugged the shock sensors and there were no warning lights or codes. I would try to wire in a 5 ohm resistor in the harness and see if that works. It’s usually does the trick with airbag sensors

More sequoia content! Mooooooore! I love how the tree is completely unfazed thru all of that. I put mine through some real sketchy trails and it's amazing how well it does even just on 35s
@CoolGuyClub

That’s so good to hear. Other than the trails being super tight the big trail whale did the whole thing and even got me back home.

Picked up a 2007 Rav4 V6 this year for $1K because it had several issues that prevented it from passing inspection, $800 later doing it all myself it was road worthy and best purchase I've made, it is quick, reliable, smooth and if you are easy on it that big 3.5L V6 AWD can get 26-27 mpg on the highway!

Does eating besides the struts need to get adjusted or replaced like control, arms, motor mounts, lowering the engine or anything?

Yes. Things like arm bushings and motor mounts will eventually need replacing on any car 15 years old but they aren’t critical and can be done any time

Excellent video. I’m a defender guy myself, and I can’t tell you how many people go out and buy a 15 year old toyota or lexus for a build and then shit their pants because they have to actually repair the vehicle. 😂 If you rock crawl, you are going to break some thangs. Shout out from the Utah.

Tip on the OVS awning poles - we've got the same awning on our RTT trailer, and we store the poles in their little bag on top of the awing frame, inside the cover/bag. The straps will also fit in there, just have to wind them up nice and neat.
