For me, after hunting for so many platinums, I've come to realize that I dont think I will ever want to do a rockstar games platinum. Like yeah, they're rare plats to have but I've realized that rockstar games plat lists simply just don't respect your time. There's an absurd amount of things to do, often feeling like they're taunting you and for that I refuse to chase a RS plat.

I was one of the people who hated platinums that require multiple playthroughs too but the moment I realized that I don't have to play back to back I stated having no problem with them, I can go for a single playthrough & put the game away for as long as it takes me to miss it, i pick it up & play again until I get the Plat. FROMSOFTWARE games taught me this .

I have DMC 5's platinum, the combat is so deep I personally think it holds up great for the 8 playthroughs I did.

Seg is an absolute madman. Platinum in a day or two in a brand new sports game? Insanity.

For me as an Xbox person you couldn't pay me enough money to complete either Halo the MasterChief collection or Rare Replay. I'm not afraid of large grinds, hell I've put over 800+ hours in the binding of Isaac so far but the big difference is the fun factor. Being an achievement/ trophy hunter you gotta pick your battles and those 2 games I'm perfectly fine with leaving incomplete

I can’t get all the achievements on games with multiplayer achievements such as Assassin’s Creed Unity, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, and Batman Arkham Origins.

Star Wars The Force Unleashed. There are 6 achievements that each require defeating 500 enemies with a certain ability. Doing that on 100 enemies was fine but that is way too tedious even for me. Plus I don’t think I could do beating the game on Sith Master difficulty.

Love these type of list videos, fully agreed with all of the games aswell, I tried a demo of crypt of the necrodancer and I barely managed to kill 1 enemy so yeah, won’t be playing that, I’d just include realistic racing games like gran turismo because I really suck at them. I got all of Odyssey's achievements (it's actually the first i started my hunt on 😅). It took me 122 hours, and it didn't bother me as much because I love the Ancient Greek setting.

Gotta agree that the sports games are a no go. I would also say Baulders Gate 3. The game is fun, but I would never in a million years try to plan out that platinum journey 😂

For the FNAF games, I only concern myself with the games that have platinums. Which are only the VR games and Security Breach.

I agree with you on the multiple play-through ones, games made by telltale or supermassive I really enjoy but after so many playthrough it’s really repetitive and boring because most likely I’m following a walkthrough to get collectibles and I already know how to avoid all of the characters death. I have 100% some of TWD games and some supermassive games but I’ve never enjoyed it after my 3rd playthrough

Warframe and Splitgate are games that I genuinely enjoy but the amount of BORING grind (especially the 1047 WINS I need for Splitgate) are insufferable for me, and it’s even worse by the fact both games don’t have a platinum

As someone who Platinumed Dynasty Warriors 9 I would tell anyone who asked; "Don't. No. You don't deserve that." It ruined my enjoyment of the Dynasty Warriors games.

There's an awesome character action/hack-and-slash type game i'd love to see you play someday that goes by name of Soulstice, but I fear that it really wouldn't be fun to do for a Platinum. It's from 2022, has some shortcomings but nevertheless a lot to offer in both gameplay and story. I'd say the style is like Italian comics/cartoons (such as Huntik) but with atmosphere and writing more along the lines of the Darksiders game. However, some other games with *much* more managable platinums that I could recommend, are Clash: Artifacts of Chaos and Cookie Cutter. Can fondly recommend those.

I got the plat for dmc 1 a while ago. Definitely my proudest platinum, it was a huge feat to overcome but it was so much dedication, I can’t even imagine getting the play for 4 and 5. I would for sure recommend 1 and 3 though, if you ever decide to do them let me know if you need strategies!

I don't think I will ever complete Gears of War 1 and 3 just because of Seriously achievements. You would have to pay me a lot of money to go through that torture. Getting all the gold crowns in Monster Hunter World has been painful enough as it is

For me it comes down to enjoyment factor. I get trophies for games I like playing. I won’t do something like Fortnite or apex because I don’t like battle royales. I won’t platinum something like street fighter 6 because I’m not a huge fighting game fan. I won’t mess with sports games or that new princ of Persia game either. I will say I have the 100% for assassins creed odyssey and it’s a very enjoyable experience. I really enjoyed just exploring the world and experiencing the story and side content. You do to have to do every side quest or every location to complete the game. If you’re beelining straight to the plat, there may be some boring bits, but I was just immersed in the game and the world and I had a blast.

Monster Hunter world/ice born has an insane requirement to fill out for their platinum I will never get it and it is my favorite game of all time

The LASO achievements in Halo Master Chief Collection put a halt on my grind. Just a ridiculously difficult challenge. Other than that, the main games I'll avoid going for the 100% are the Multiplayer achievement games. Dead multiplayers are tough to find people on, even just to boost. More times than not I've had to buy my friends a copy of a game, just to clean up some back log.

I did get the platinum for DMC Devil May Cry reboot which I remember being very frustrating going for but I felt very satisfied once I completed it. I’ve also got the platinum for AC Odyssey, a game in my opinion that gets too much hate. Sure it’s barely an assassin’s creed game but I enjoyed the 500hrs I put into it. However I did take breaks from it cause it is a huge game which I know can be intimidating for some players.

I did the platinum for Saints Row (2022) back when the game came out. It wasn’t difficult, beat the game, level up the HQ, and of course do the challenges. What made me dislike it was that some of the trophies became a bit tough if you did them after you beat the story and also I had to deal with a glitched challenge that I had to do an exploit for

I would love to platinum some of the old Guitar Hero or Rock Band games, but they are bizarrely difficult. I did get Guitar Hero Live and Rock Band 4's back in the day.

To me, all of the Monster Hunter games come to mind. They are great games, but are miserable to try to platinum and get 100% completion on I am dreading Monster Hunter Wilds when it comes out, because I know it's going to be more the same. In addition to Monster Hunter Stories remasters that recently released. They are not quite as bad as the mainline titles, but still terrible platinum trophy experiences.

For me, a lot of games I'll never bother fully completing for their trophies. They're across multiple genres but can be lumped together as "never going to 100% because of online requirements." Defeating people in competitive modes is something I'm lousy at, especially fighting games, so those are always left undone for me. It doesn't help when the servers are shut down either, because then the people who actually do want to play against others online are wholly screwed even if they aren't chasing a specific challenge completion.

For me, one I'll probably never do, not because of a difficulty scale but on a price scale, the Godzilla 2014 game on ps4, the disc costs like 400 dollars lol

Been going after dmc5 because I consider it one of the best action games of all time and it’s just insanely fun and deep.

I don’t have a lot of platinum trophies but my proudest achievement will always be rdr2 just from the pure grind this being said I already had all the online trophies from being a rdo daily player for two years then after I got my first platinum trophy I have accumulated 18 trophies in 7 months cleaning up all my previous started games currently working on crash nitro cart.

The soul's games for me, they are great I'm sure, but I DO NOT have the patience for them. Props to those who do

I personally don't ever see myself going for any Rockstar Platinums. I've never been a huge fan of GTA or RDR, so the thought of playing either for 100's of hours just grinding collectibles just doesn't sound fun at all.

I remember the DMC 4 achievements....I also remember how annoying they were. XD Won't try to platinum them any time soon.

DMC5 is one of my favorite games of all time and I have to say, I'm completely with you on not wanting to get the DMC5 platinum. even DMC3's platinum trophy is a *lot* lmao

I stopped yakuza 7 when I realised I had around 10-20 hours of grinding left for that final trophy. Life's too short. Saying that, I might get the itch in a few months to see it through. Interesting you mentioned the newer assassin's. Origins plat was a good one, one of my faves of the series but the other two were real grind fests. Especially vallaha. Mirage is a nice plat , though.

The first Bordelands' DLC killed my OCD for 100%s. That was over 10 years ago, im alright with just getting platinums these days. Currently sitting at 189 plats.

I have platinumed ac valhalla and session skate sim 2 times hardest trophies i have would really like to see you try session its really tedious but im a skater for life so i had to do it in ps4 and ps5 (0,1% rarity platinum)

The game I would never try to plat is Mortal Kombat 9. First off, it's not even possible anymore unless you played online years ago. "My Kung Fu Is Stronger" is absolutely the most tedious achievement I've seen in gaming, *maybe* beaten by cod black ops 3 's "Personal Decorator"

i don’t know if you’re a tomb raider fan but i would love to see you do the tomb raider remastered trilogy ! i am currently attempting TR1 plat and got 3 hard achievements left then the expansion. I’ve done some lengthy plats gta5, red dead 2 and assassins creed origins! I will never plat a cod game.

although i completely understand why you’d never want to 100% the fnaf games. The games’ repetitiveness is replaced by strategy once you get to the harder nights. I do think casual players get a completely different experience from the people who try and complete the custom nights, especially because there are always hidden and true endings tied to those nights. And although i still wouldn’t recommend it, I do think your opinion might change on the games in general if you ever went for the trophies. It’s a rare case of trophies actually making a game better. The rest i completely agree with though

For me it's all about respecting my time. I don't mind spending time improving at a game to take on something difficult and as such I wouldn't rule out the likes of Necrodancer (though I'm getting old now hehe so maybe I'll have to add it to that pile soon enough) but games such as Fortnite where it's excessive but totally easy grind I just can't... and it doesn't even have to be a potential 1000 hour Fortnite grind to be too much for me, it could be comparatively much less like 50 hours and I'd still rule it out. I'm not mind-numbingly grinding out stuff for hours on end unless you're paying me a good hourly rate for it and even then my limits would probably only expand to be okay with that ~50 hours region but not much more than that. I'm kind of the same with multiple playthroughs but I would still disagree on the DMCs personally and I have done 4&5. Playthroughs are pretty short and it's much more about the gameplay for me, I could spend plenty of time in combat arenas in a good hack and slash game if that was the alternative so I really wouldn't mind extra playthroughs instead and DMC as a series does tend to vary your experience by remixing the enemy encounters depending on difficulty and varies bosses with new attacks the higher up you go and even entirely new phases sometimes on high difficulties. I think those games lend themselves really well to replays. As for other games however, unless it's a roguelike multiple playthroughs is a turn off, nothing feels more painful than finishing a game on the highest difficulty only to find out the difficulty trophies don't stack and you only get the one for finishing on hard 😐 Like you I'd also rule out sports games although I have done 2 FIFA games and will be finishing EAFC 24 at some point. I played FIFA 21 because I lost a bet on the... Euros? World Cup? I don't know, I bet England wouldn't make the final and they did. Then 22 came to PS+ and I got peer pressured into it for memes because finishing 21 started the in-joke that I'm now a 'FIFA Bro' then I fell victim to peer pressure once more on 24 since it was free again but I swear this is the last one I promose! 😅 The other genre I rule out is MMOs and quite honestly it's because I have a history of MMO addiction lol, I used to be a world's number 1 in an MMO and spent an unhealthy amount of time in it to the extent that it wasn't just 1 character considered world number 1 (for PvP), my second character was the highest HP tank and my other characters (I had one of every class) weren't slouches either! Something like ESO I sometimes get jokingly asked for go for and people praise it up like it's super tricky to get Emporer and I'm looking at it thinking "that's nothing, easy" but I still sure as hell am not going there, not again. The only other games I'd rule out would be VR games with a longer playtime. Something like Skyrim VR which I keep trying to convince myself to play but I just cannot commit large amounts of time into VR. My limit for VR games is much smaller than non-VR games, if I can't finish it in a few sessions then it'll end up shelved. I don't suffer from any motion sickness issues in VR or anything like that, and I do honestly enjoy VR at times but it's gotta be in small doses.

I also never got all the achievements nor completed the story in Grand Theft Auto 5. I found the controls difficult and there are the alien space ship collectibles. Not sure if I will go back to the game with a lot of other games I have on my list.

I’m currently going for Fortnite’s platinum and it’s honestly not that bad. It helps I only play Save the World once a week and it gives me free battle pass XP. It’s gotten kind of fun to boot it up every Thursday

I wonder if you have like "Games you kind of regret to 100%", but not in a way, I regret doing it, wouldn't do it ever again, but like "I'm happy to have it but it definitely wasn't worth it the time" In my case it definitely was payday 2 on PC, 1000+ hours of pain and achievements added with each dlc's, just to have the "I got the nefarious game 100%Ed" :')

I only pick games to platinum that I really really liked before or if I know I'm gonna like it in advance. I would never platinum games just to platinum it and not like it right at the start. Metal Gear Rising i platinumed cause I really really like the game but that platinum made me not enjoy it sometimes even tho I love that game so much. Batman Arkham Knight made me like the game more cause of the platinum. I platinumed Ys Origin and I had to play that game 7 times with a BIG grind to the max level and do bossrush mode on hardest difficulty right after that and it drained me so much that now I can't even think about the game even though I liked it before. RE3 Remake I platinumed 3 days ago and that was fun and I could still play it. Now I wanna platinum The Evil Within, one of my favourites but I heard the platinum is a pain so we'll see.

I’m currently working on GTA 5, Crash 4, slime rancher and god of war Just note, NEVER DO GTA 5 the grind even just for single player is insane, and stunt jumps, knife flights and under the bridge is immensely difficult on controller, and keep in mind I still have to reach rank 100 in online. Crash 4 isn’t actually too bad, more so a grind, it’s not the hardest platinum in the world and even with the difficulty I very much enjoy playing it. Slime Ranchers platinum is really annoying with rush mode, though I love the game and still play it after 2 years rush mode just seems like to much of a pain though I’m stroll working on it. I’m planning on getting the platinum on Red Dead 2 but I’m not sure after the pain GTA 5 put me through. God of war is a great game and doesn’t have the most difficult platinum but the Valkyrie fights are what I’m dreading the most. Other games I refuse to platinum, basically any sports game (personally find most sports boring and repetitive) AC: Valhalla (it’s a horrible game), of course any shovelware games, any COD games due to the insane requirements and lack of motivation, Mafia def edition due to not wanting to revoke my incredible view on the game, and many others alike. My first platinum was Ratchet and Clank (the remake) and I absolutely LOVED that game, still one of my favorites to this day, this platinum is what seriously got me into trophy hunting, now I’m at 18 platinums which isn’t a lot, but I’m working my way up the ladder! I also have Odysseys platinum and loved every second of it, best experience of my life and by far my favorite game I’ve ever played! Edit: of course I will also never try Fortnite’s platinum, I have around 2000 hours or so in the game and only about 3 hours of that is actually Save the world, very much not enjoyable.

Not a platinum that I’m not going to get but a platinum that I’m genuinely scared of is super hot vr. I’ve platinumed the normal version of the game and it was brutal and any game on vr is automatically harder for me to platinum. Mainly because of the tracking of my psvr.

Now that I’m in my 30’s I’m not even doing anything that requires 2 full playthroughs anymore, don’t have the time and not wasting what I do have spending hours on hours on something I already finished. I have to sadly accept the fact that Kingdom Hearts will never be welcome in my house ever again. I loved playing the stories on the original and Kingdom Hearts 3 was fun, but fighting superbosses for profit is not my jam, especially on Critical difficulty. Just like I tried Uncharted and gave up after dying on the easy mode against the first wave of pirates. :(

I probably won’t ever platinum Crash 4 (I don’t want to discount the other Crash games but unlikely) and it’s a skill issue. I try not to discount platinums unless it’s an online things where no matter what I physically couldn’t get it.

Okay I can understand most of them but dmc, I feel if it gets taxing to play them then just take your time and play it at your own pace. You won't feel like your grinding for it but at least you won't burn yourself out with it then.

I understand that everyone has their own opinions but I actually really liked saints row. I never really played the OG games but I just like how easy it is to play but I will say I have locked myself out of the platinum unless I start fro scratch or pay for the ps subscription which I don't own because I much rather a good single player story.
