One of the most celebrated producers/financiers was Arnold Kopelson, best known for producing and co-producing a series of genres, including 1986's "Platoon" which won him an 1987 Academy Award for best picture and 1993's "The Fugitive" which earned him an 1994 Oscar nomination for best picture. Sadly, he died in 2019 and survived by his wife and children. Thanks for the fun and joy. RIP, Arnold.

Does anyone else find it odd that the professionals here that read scripts and lines off by heart for a living are struggling to read the lines on the teleprompter or on the notes in front of them. But the producer of the movie, who's job it is to be in the background and not in front of the camera is the one that can give an amazing speech and doesn't have to continually read notes.

Watching actors being interviewed on talk shows made me realize I was giving actors too much credit in their ability to communicate smoothly. One of the best examples is Morgan Freeman. He communicates so well in movies I considered him a genius. I watch him interviewed on a talk show and I believe he's a typical guy. While using how well someone communicates as an indicator to their intelligence is not the best indicator, it's one that comes to my mind.
