This is one of the best most knowledgable videos I’ve ever seen. Really appreciate the Gto side along with the practicality of how it really plays out vs population. I don’t have pio or any solver so I really like how you show the theoretical point but with a way to use it. I’m fairly novice in the “gto solver” world but these type of videos and knowledgable people teaching this way is priceless. I’d luv more of these and all the content provided. Really appreciate this for real. Ik there’s a lot of others who it’s not that they don’t want to learn deeper but sometimes life has other ways your money has to be spent. Thanks a lot bro.

I just looked into my database and I cant believe how on point you are! I just looked into only 99-22(value hands) and just saw how poorly i played all the spots when having these hands! i dont have pio but i dont think that matters any ways if your not going to play it fundamentally correct anyways. AA-TT will make you profits(even if you misplay them) but probably unaware that you can play those same hands with better decision making! Those are just Preflop "made" hands. ATs+,AJo+KQs,JTs,T9s,87s are all value hands are all very good hands that can be played well but the reality is that the fundamental are lacking so you will not make the best possible decision. Yes being a nit sucks but until we learn the best way to play our value hand then we can explore more ways to become better. Thank you so much I really appreciate you giving a area to focus on so i get that head start i needed to succeed!

Hi Ben Just a very stupid question - when you say that our nutted strength is high vs IP on T9s hand, you mean the preflop strength? So im trying to understand the three things on check list 1) Nut strength (independent of flop) 2) how my hand interacts with flop 3) playability on streets (from EV pov) Just confirming this Super great - have almost watched this 2.5 times now
@RaiseYourEdge
@RaiseYourEdge 4 жыл бұрын
It means that our strong hands on the flop are really strong. An example is UTG vs BB on AKQ, UTG has all the sets, all straights, more 2 pairs.. so our nutted strength is very strong. Another example is UTG vs BB on 765, BB's nutted strength is higher because he has more 2 pairs and more straights. Hope that clarifies things

Ich schaue echt gerne eure Videos, vermisse aber den jungen Menschen klar zu machen das poker eine extreme harte Arbeit ist. Poker kann ein Weg zur Finanziellen Freiheit sein, ganz klar. You're right. It is difficult. Do you have a HUD? Seeing vpip and pfr will help you range your opponents. Then as you see villain hands at sd, you'll be able to be more precise.

Just up to 14.35 and great content already,I definetly have felt checking say overpair and sets to induce bluffs or "balance" is losing as they mostly will only bet with a hand they would call with anyway as they like to check back low/middle pairs/Ax hands as these have showdown value and non SDV hands they hope to check back and hit something on turn or river. If i know specifically the guy is bluffy/aggro then ill check but of course this is exploitative.
@Gos1234567
@Gos1234567 4 жыл бұрын
Good point about not jamming the T9s on turn when you make the str8/flush draw,the poker pop isnt bluffing enough in that spot to get fold and even if they have A8s they are never folding top pair ever.Seems the theme so far is play cautious even nitty/tight/overfolding oop(especially against agression) but be aggro when in position against weakness.

Question for Bencb. If someone very wealthy did a heads up challenge where it cost nothing for you to play but if you won, you would win x amount of dollars. What amount of money would that x need to be for you to be interested in that? Like a personal invitation to play Bencb live heads up. The wealthy person is by your standards a terrible player and so your edge would be massive by the way. Would you ever be interested? It must be live by the way.

hi ben. you say it’s important to play your value hands good. but in one of the first videos i watched in masterclass you said you wouldn’t teach how to play the nuts because you don’t wanna charge people money to tel them how to play nuts. what are your thoughts on this
@RaiseYourEdge
@RaiseYourEdge 4 жыл бұрын
And that is correct. The entire tmc emphasizes to play straight forward and not play fancy poker. It teaches to get the most out of your value hands. Also, I said "nuts" and in this video "value hands". Playing the nuts like boates and quads is something that is hard to missplay, but a lot of people still struggle playing value hands properly and get too little value which definitely needs to be addressed. I think you are confusing nuts with value hands here.
