I personally find being sticky with flush draws difficult. Having you clarify where you want to proceed with a 3-bet and where to fold helped clarify a lot of things for me. I think it's most useful for me to remove the emotion from the situation and play the odds. Making these minor adjustments has helped me go from being break-even to winning more consistently and I'm hoping that as time goes on and I'm able to memorize these ranges I'll make even more profit. Thank you for the knowledge!

Hi Bencb! Thanks for this interesting content. Just, at the 23:54 of the video, you counted 9 outs for the FD and 4 outs for the GS. One card of the GS should be discounted, then there are 12 outs instead 13. I know you know it, just to correct it. GL and thanks again for your videos.

Perfect timing on this video as I played a flush draw poorly today on a paired board and got stacked by a full house. I appreciate the lesson it taught me though and this video was helpful on showing me how to play that spot better. You asked for what suggestions do we have for your next video. I know I am personally getting torched in the small blind. I’m doing a better job defending my BB actually. Some tips on how to play the SB would be helpful. It’s such a tough spot since you are always first to act. I seem to just fold preflop a lot unless I have a premium hand or pocket pair just to avoid the awkward situation, but that is losing me money. Thanks as always for the content.

I would like to add some notes: - When we as the preflop caller have a nut advantage our raise frequency goes up quite a bit with FD's, even with the some weaker naked FD's - When we don't have a nut advantage we like to raise mostly FD's with additional backdoor or direct straight equity - In looser positions Ahi flushdraws are called a lot more often than raised because of SD value Some frequency simplifications you can use to figure out how often to raise with a specific combo relative to the board. The +X% is how much raise frequency you add to your FD combo: For 100bb poker vs flop 1/3 bet (raise frequency goes down A LOT when villain bets 1/2 or bigger): +100% Combodraw +15% Naked flushdraw no overs, no backdoors Additional properties that add to your raise frequency +20% Good backdoor straight draw +5% /Overcard -20% Good Ahi (AT+) So in your example with Q7dd on 853ddx, 100bb deep BTNvBB: +15% (Naked FD) +20% (Backdoor SD) +5% (1 Overcard) =40% raise frequency Another example with AJdd on 853ddx, 100bb deep BTNvBB: +15% (Naked FD) +10% (2 Overcards) -20% (Good Ahi AT+) =5% raise frequency Obviously more things affect frequencies like relative position, nut & equity advantage and bet sizing. But these types of simplifications get you pretty close to GTO frequencies.

What is your advice if you have a straightflush draw? I mean technically it still is a straight and a flush draw. Would you check raise like you would if you have like a „Ax“ flush draw. Or would you check call. For exaple you have 98 suited And the flop is 10❤7❤K♠️

You usually think "I must catch this guy right away!" and you're forgetting about everything else and not think about your game or other opponents and lose. This was happening to me long time ago, but fortunately I learned by experience not to be bothered much than just normal and only try to exploit normally very marginal spots. However sometimes I'm still falling into the trap. Do you have any advice in this matter?
