Do not expect some flashy combat movement. Eventhough i have not played it, many said that its weakest point (considering is base on real medieval combat, is obvious the action movement is not going to be like a movie lol). Buy it if you want to see some amazing landscape and story

Johnny Mafia wasn't exactly known for its combat either. I'm going in to this for the same reason I went into Mafia: atmosphere and story. I got into Morrowind while missing every other hit, and it's still my favorite Elder Scrolls. Here's hoping the combat serves as a history lesson. It seemed accurate at the very least, and I was generally surprised at the bad reaction to it after seeing it myself.

This game is really something else. It's by far one of the most immersive games I've played and the damn combat is so addicting. It's one of two games I've ever replayed more than once in my 20's.

Only a few hours in and I'm totally obsessed! One of the most enjoyable and captivating RPGs, and generally games, I played in years. It's complex and challenging, but in such an intriguing way that it never intimidates me.

Mason Cook people are going to be mixing IP's making Games of Thrones and Elder Scrolls stuff. I can even see them just making dlc like content by adding more of Europe or some other place. I hope it does well.

Just look at 15 years old Mafia from same creators. Fans did a remaster. Most games developed by Illusion Softworks or Bohemia Interactive were made FOR the players. This will be no exception

For those of you saying the combat is its weakest point might not understand what it is. This is historical combat taken from manuscripts of fencing etc... this game is about history not fantasy. Wide arching swings would get you killed in reality you also do not have a rectical when using a bow. Which you don't have in reality. Don't come into this gaming thinking its a witcher clone because this is quite a different beast.

You must be deluded to think this game is in any way realistic. People in combat don't just stand around and telegraph choreographed swings at each other. Or should we point out the awful studded leather armor? Or maybe pre-reformation Christian churches with pale white walls? This game is one dragon away from complete fantasy.

I'll be fine as long as the quests are more like Witcher's than Skyrim's fetch quests, and the story allows you freedom and picking sides.

I funded this game so many years ago on kickstarter. I had forgotten all about it. I went to the site to check, and yea sure enough I'm being issued a copy on release day :D What an awesome fucking surprise! The game looks so much better than I thought it would!

Time flies way too fast. I still remember how I felt when this game was released. And it’s been 4 years already?? That means someone who was a freshman then is now a senior or graduated. Insane. This game was released at a pivotal time in my life and definitely inspired me in a lot of ways. Probably the most beautiful medieval simulator ever created. I hope we get a direct sequel.

I am so jealous. I just uninstalled at 8 hours in. Running around naked cause all my stuff fell apart. Losing fights non-stop. I wanted to love this game but I am just left beaten and I feel like an idiot for letting this game beat me.

@@e4gail you need to grind more, it took me 70 hours to complete the game (i even skipped a few side quests and activities) you need to get better basically learn the perks, learn the combat, learn how to stealth, and learn how to get the best gear the game indeed is not designed to be rushed but to be grinded carefully and with dedication.

Actually there was some speculations in past years that Sean Bean should be in this game. :D But I trying to find it few days ago and I just can't find some confirmation or something. Also he isn't in any of their videos on their official Warhorse Studios youtube channel. So who knows. :D

Looks like they really made the combat have some more smoothness and flash (like sword sparks and the characters crying a bit louder in pain) in the final months and it reflects in this trailer. Looking forward to it.

Béla Fischer Well said I agree with you. However the Hungarians invaded Bohemia so it's not wrong to see them here as bad guys. During the Hussite wars groupes of hussites (czechs) invaded Germany and were stealing and murdering. In this case I wouldn't mind playing as catholic knight and fighting "my own" people.

Modders for this game are making a Game of Thrones mod that takes place in the Riverlands during the War of the Five Kings, for anyone interested in GoT keep your eyes out. I was doing the quest and i met the guy in the cave and when i left there it was already night, my horse got bugged and i had to run to the town, it got darker and darker and i just kept running until i found some asian guys on a camp fire who i thought they were friendly, i went closer to them and they started shooting arrows at me. I had to run to the other direction and got lost again lol.

Moriya Minakata only kingdom come deliverance and metal gear survive are the 2 games for me this month =) Metal gear may be on the back burner until March though, kingdom come looks big and gigantic than skyrim was.

Oh ffs :D Sigimund of Luxemburg was not hungarian and in this timeframe he had no control over Hungary. So Hungarians are not "bad guys" in this game. His army was most likely germans nobles mby some loyal hungarians.

gay marriage in (really want to see the succesion law =D)skyrim, so much races that it breaks immersion (AI will not react correcty quite a lot, ), trying to put equal ammount of races/gender into every city/faction that it makes no sense, too many women fighting = declining pop., etc. ,etc. well in summary forcing agenda against logic and immersion

having many races to choose was a reference to old-school dungeon crawlers, where you had bilions of races to choose. Gay marriages? Except of players optional one, i dont recall any gay character in skyrim. Equal ammount of races in every city... what? Theres many games with forced agenda, like Mass Effect or Dragon Age, but Skyrim isnt one of these
