Single ship challenge: Players are given a single large grid ship. They can customize this ship as they see fit and build small grid ships. They can't make bases and are constantly hounded by CoughAdminCough forces. Call it the Battlestar challenge!

I tried to make something like that, a single large grid ship that was moving at a constant 60m/s, and it can't be slowed or stopped only steered and even then just barely. It was really fun to try to launch small grid ships to mine and chasing the ship to redock

Wow, what a cool concept, reminds me of Metro. Living in tunnels, surviving in the stations and going on excursions into the dark to gather loot.

I agree with it being a lot like Metro, though they're quite spread out. I think it would be cool if we could have many players with a very small space for each player, each player building in close proximity and only community equipment. Rovers and small grid stuff only and in limited number. Imagining labyrinthine vertical hive cities and overlapping busy streets with shops and advertising, etc. All the futurepunk stuff.

The bustling co-operative community is the sort of concept that SE seems built for... If not for server issues and SE weirdness. Lol. Seeing that underground is wonderfully thematic too.

If I were to join, I would just make a utility vehicle to maintain the bunker, with little deployable “Road work ahead slow down” signs and a ladder

Not gonna lie. I would be more inclined to play on this type of server than any pvp server. I love the idea of admins creating enemies for the players to fight against.

A nice idea is for someone to create a world where above the surface you and blocks take slow damage and anything below x blocks of ground level is safe. It would create an interesting mechanic which would work nicely on server building. Mining and assaulting bases on this world would be completely different.

With sensors, lcd panels and program blocks you can use a script to map things for you, will also show the block status (damaged, repaired) and entities (players, ships).

I love concepts of cooperation and seeing a little community form Yes, insane completely pvp space battles are cool but it's also nice to have a shared enemy and fight against that enemy

I'm new to this game and there are some good ship designs from players that iv met. 1 guy is a sci fi fan and he was showing me his creations they are impressive. He made the enterprise from star trek it was breath taking.

so for me id love to make a central elevator style shaft that was large enough for large equipment to be moved up and down and from that shaft you can expand several tunnels that had the possibility to expand on a flat terrain the whole time vs dealing with the curvature of the planet since blocks dont curve along with the world

I mostly just mess around in creation sandbox mode making ships and vehicles trying to figure out what and how things work. Iv made some ships and vehicles but there is still room for improvement

how the heck where you able to get those rover drone to go to the player at 1:19 .. i was trying to get my friends and me to have a defende the fort type fun with us defending vs the incoming drone but nothing work from autopilot with waypoint to just use wheel propulsion to have them go straight to us using ai control turret but nothing work

Do a fleet survival where you have a set time to make a ship and cannot go to any planet again you can only survive in space afterwards and see what happens

I wish I had more time on hand to join these. I love PvE Space Engineers but I always find it to be more fun with friends Especially since I'm not very good at designing things. I can make them functional, but my builds never look good

Ore has been both modded into the map around where the central bunker is.

So question are you allowing people who don't spend money or talk too much in the servers into the server or only the people that pay money and spend a lot of time talking into the servers

Hi, I played space engineers in the past and created a block containing heavy armor and warheads arranged in a 3d chessboard pattern. It went straight trough a large asteroid. Just an idea if you want to test it.
